The best fish and chips I had in England when on holiday recently. The majority of fish is nattered in the UK and Iā€™m not usually a fan as I find it greasy. Not this experience though! The fish had a golden light batter, that was crisp and the fish was perfectly cooked. Not greasy or overcooked. The chips were good too. I particularly liked the number of free sauces and dressings available. Great location alongside the Tower of London. The ticket office for the Tower is just up from this kiosk. There is seating in the square on stone benches. In the busy summer period you may have trouble getting a seat. The service was good, friendly staff and efficient.

Located right across from the Tower of London, Josef Traditional Fish & Chips serve up some excellent fish and chips. Though it is naturally busy next to such an iconic landmark, service was efficient and friendly. The cod in particular was fresh, light and tasty. A yummy example of a favourite, and you canā€™t go wrong with the accompanying view. Recommended.

I was tentative about getting fish and chips near a touristy area like the Tower of London. But I could not have been more wrong. Josef's had delicious, hot and fresh fish and chips, plus amenities you can't usually get at a shop in the UK, like BBQ sauce and Dr. Pepper. I am a fan - I'll definitely add this to my list of places to visit when I'm over.

I was tentative about getting fish and chips near a touristy area like the Tower of London. But I could not have been more wrong. Josef's had delicious, hot and fresh fish and chips, plus amenities you can't usually get at a shop in the UK, like BBQ sauce and Dr. Pepper. I am a fan - I'll definitely add this to my list of places to visit when I'm over.

Staff were friendly and attentive and got the food out fast. Unfortunately that is where the good ended. I am always wary about going to restaurants in tourist areas as they are mostly overpriced and subpar. With this being right next door to the ticket window at the Tower of London I was not enthusiastic but the family was hungry and looking for fish and chips. This food was lukewarm (had been sitting for awhile) with near no flavor except for that old fish taste that you get when it is not fresh. The chips were lifeless - my wife commented this was the worst meal of our entire trip to Europe this summer and unfortunately one of the priciest. My recommendation if near the Tower of London and looking for fish and chips find...

Had fish and chips yesterday by 18:30 time, it was off peak the chips were good but the fish was not fresh for sure and it was even smelled like it was old fish. The texture was rubbery and not fresh at all. When we spoke to the staff about this within a min since we paid and started to eat right infront of them, they simply invalidated our feedback and said that they had made the fish just 30 mins back and nobody else complained like this. Totally disappointed and threw my 12 pound worth money inside the bin right in front of the shop. Kindly don't invalidate a customer s feedback as we are not gonna gain anything by lying we have had fish and chips so many times in many other places and have never faced an experience...
