When I stayed at the Tower Residences by Blue Orchid I had a mixed experience. While the room itself was amazing—clean, spacious, and well-appointed—there were some significant drawbacks that impacted my stay. One major issue was the hot water situation. The hot water in the shower lasted only 5-10 minutes before turning freezing cold. This was extremely inconvenient, especially since I was left standing in the shower with soap and shampoo in my hair. When I reported this to the staff, they were apologetic and offered to move me into a spare room to shower. While this gesture was appreciated, it was quite inconvenient to have to switch rooms just to finish my shower. I learned that the hotel uses a tank on top of the building which only allows for a limited amount of hot water. Once it's used up, you're stuck with cold water for the rest of the day. This is something to keep in mind if you plan on staying here. Additionally, the noise from the underground trains was noticeable, which might be a concern for light sleepers. On a positive note, the location is excellent. The hotel is conveniently located near the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, making it easy to explore these iconic landmarks. Despite these issues, the room was fantastic. The amenities were modern and comfortable, and the view from my window was beautiful. If the hot water and noise issues could be resolved, this would be an excellent place to stay. Overall, while there were some inconveniences, the quality of the room itself was impressive. I hope the management addresses these concerns to enhance the guest experience.

Spacious apartment with amazing views of tower bridge and Tower of London. Apartment has useful things like milk, coffee and alpen in it. The staff at the entrance desk are very helpful. Beautiful small war commission maintained park by the hotel. Got to revisit all the places I’ve not seen for a while like getting a beigel from the 24 hour beigel shop in brick lane ; visit the Whitechapel art gallery and have lunch in their restaurant (super reasonable like £6 for a glass of wine) then walk up to the blind beggar pub to visit the krays pub (kind of like mafia back in the day in the east end - used to kill mobsters) then walk up to Bethnal Green to the genesis cinema to see challengers. You can walk everywhere and a lovely place to drop in aswell is st Katherine’s dock off the Wapping high road - a fancy waterside yacht mooring place with restaurants. Just peachey. Downside of apartment- can hear traffic if cars got loud music but you get used to it. Went to the adamo spa for a hot stone massage (it’s part of the hotel group nearby) and the massages and facial were very good and reasonable prices £45 facial/£55 half an hour massage). The four seasons trinity square hotel is right next door if you want to upgrade your evening with a fancy cocktail. Lots to do - no need to leave the area.

Arrived at the apartments earlier than check in time just to check that we could leave our suitcase and was greeted by a lovely lady who said our room was ready. We was very happy with the facilities, so close to Fenchurch Street station and The Tower of London. We left the apartment to venture for the day, unfortunately later when we returned there was a problem with the lights, but within minutes a member of staff was there to assist and as the fault couldn’t be resolved they quickly changed us to another room which was a bigger suite with a great view of the shard. The staff we encountered were very polite, friendly & helpful and on hand 24/7. The suite was clean, well stocked with toiletries, towels and the kitchenette had everything you could need, including milk, cereals, tea & coffee, & even a complimentary box of chocolates. Would definitely be happy to visit again. Brilliant location.

The overall experience was disappointing and far below expectations for the price paid. Several issues made the stay uncomfortable and inconvenient: • The air conditioning system spreads a strange, unpleasant odor throughout the room. • Doors and walls have visible hit marks and uneven surfaces. • The ventilation and AC units near the ceiling are loud. • The property photos online are misleading — the real condition is much worse, and the rooms are not as appealing as the pictures. • The door is very difficult to close, and the DND paper card can only be placed after the door is fully shut. • Chromecast on the TVs does not work. • Lighting inside the rooms is dim and uneven, creating a dull and uncomfortable atmosphere. • Bathroom design is awkward and not user-friendly. • The passageway from the elevator to the rooms is confusing, dimly lit, and looks old and neglected. • Hallway lights turn off quickly, leaving the area dark. • Beds and couches look uninviting and do not feel clean or comfortable to rest on. • The tables must be pulled away from the wall just to reach the power outlets to charge a phone. • Cabinet handles for the fridge and washing machine are placed awkwardly under a table, making them difficult to reach and open properly. • Both the shower and sink have weak water pressure. • There is a deep rumbling sound throughout the rooms, similar to a fast underground metro or tube passing by. • There is no central AC — only small portable units that are loud and fail to cool the room evenly.

For such a high price, this accommodation delivers very poor quality and minimal comfort. I would never stay here again.

⸻

Positives: • The kitchen area is well-equipped with a fridge, washer/dryer, and essential cleaning supplies (dish soap, sponge, detergent, and hand soap), all conveniently organized. • Wi-Fi is stable...

My son and I had a lovely stay at the Blue Orchid Residences in July. Our room was quite nice, although having little steps between some of the rooms was a bit odd. There was a maintenance issue with one of the bathrooms that we were not aware of. It was repaired quickly, but Aroona called to offer us another room, which was truly wonderful. Very spacious, no steps, and with a lovely view of the Tower Bridge. During the move from one room to the other, I thought I lost a sock and Aroona and her staff checked a few times to no avail. It became a little bit of a joke between us during our stay. Turns out it was in a shirt sleeve and we didn’t find it until we got home! Tragedy averted! 😆 I will say that if you plan to use the washer/dryer, do plan on a few hours per load. I didn’t mind it one I figured out the best timing, and it was a great convenience to have the ability to wash clothes. The location was great. Reviewers have complained about the underground noise and vibration. We heard/felt it, but it was no bother in the least. People also complained about the method of A/C, which didn’t bother us either. It was sort of a white noise kind of sound and we didn’t even need it much at all. Aroona and Roxana were wonderful, kind, and always asking if we needed anything. We would certainly stay...
