NEWS on the WHARF (2) — Local services in London

3rd time collecting or posting parcels from here. 1st time, the staff member (though a very nice person) couldn't find my package. Turns out it was there but badly organised/stored. 2nd time, the guy who I bring my parcels to looks visibly deflated that I have done so, mutters something about 'needing to use the machine then' (though i don't know what he's talking about) and then completely ignores me to run off and do something else - so I moved over to the much calmer lady dealing with the other queue. 3rd time, same guy as the 2nd encounter, again - seems like the parcels are the bain of his life. Tells me they are at capacity and cannot take any more parcels since the parcel co. have not collected yet today. I ask where the next News on the wharf is instead then, and he says that won't work either. Eventually, he reluctantly takes my parcels 'since they were small'.. Hm. This staff member could do with some lessons in customer service, or look for a new job where he doesn't have to deal with...

Really disappointed and even angry. I dropped off a prepaid Hermes parcel there two weeks ago. As its online state hasn't been changed since then and I'm unable to track anything useful with the drop-off receipt that the staff gave at the counter, I decided to make an inquiry on the site. Surprisingly, they refused to help with any kind of check at all and claimed they got nothing to do with it. They refused to provide the contact for the deliveryman who collects the items at the shop, for which they could've. They irresponsibly googled a random Hermes customer service and asked me to call that number instead of bothering them further. It makes me hard to believe their system is not capable to make any query as such given that your shops can accept parcel drop-off service. It also makes me hard to believe how professionally they handle the...

Went there today to drop off a parcel and pick up a parcel. I was served by a Chinese lady first who was very rude. I asked her what the postcode was of this place as I didn’t know if I was at the right news on the wharf and she goes I don’t know, maybe go check or ask someone? They have plenty parcels with the postcode of the store on there anyways after I dropped off the parcel I asked to pick up a parcel and she tells me to wait on the side because she has a long que of maybe 1/2 people. I felt as if she just didn’t want to serve me. I was before those people so they could wait instead she pushed me to the side to serve the other customers. Very unprofessional and she clearly doesn’t like being in the workplace, no manners or even a simple smile. She needs her training on customer service redone. Overall the other staff are very nice...
