This was my first ever outing to this restaurant. Was taken by my daughter part of my extensive birthday treat. From street level, the building looks like one of the arches of the Sydney Opera house. The restaurant is on the upper level, accessible his escator. On arrival, I was wished Happy Birthday.🎈 We were then taken to a reserved window table overlooking the outside balcony directly below the Arch, quite near the instruments of the Band, who were not present, perhaps an evening thingnone the less the atmosphere was buzzing multitude of chatter from the packed house.
Our order was taken by our Server "Domingos".
We ordered 2 courses, the main course from their FRESH SEAFOOD section. I had mentioned my love of Chilli to Domingos and asked for some suitable accompaniment.
Our started came. It was Cream Cheese stiffed jalapeños served in a bed of tortilla chips accompanied with a tomato based relish and a cream dip. These came piping hot. My daughter was very kind to let me have more of the jalapeños and she had the tortillas❤️
We took our time eating the starter. What I liked was that keeping in mind just how busy this restaurant was, not once were me made to feel that we needed to rush to vacate our seats👍
Our main course was then brought to us.
This was the " Deep Fried Jumbo Shrimp basket." the shrimps were placed on generous bed of prawn crackeers. it was accompanied by Chunky chips, Very finely shredded coleslaw, tartar and coctail sauces. "Domingo" had remembered my "love of chilli" reference and brought us some Voodoo sauce. So we tucked into our main course. I removed and placed the prawn crackers in the accompanying small brown brown bowl we wre both given. This the gave the desires space to manouver the pot the shrimps with a knife and folk. The shrimps (or Prawns as we generally refer to them in the UK), were well done as I like them crispy and were of a very respectable size. They did not emit any strong unpleasant aroma, so wee very fresh. The coleslaw was presented in a small bowl, so it retailed within its boundaries. The very generous amount of Voodoo sauce was a delight and packed a very pleasant chilli punch. 😂 I had all of mine and even some of my daughters ❤️
Managed to eat everything apart from a few remaining prawn crackers. This was all thoroughly enjoyable and a surprisingly filling dish.
I called for our Bill and to my totally unexpected surprise, Domingos appeared carrying a small serving bowl perched on a stem, with a scoop of ice cream with sprinkles and 1 immuninated candle. I was chuffed. What a memorable treat from my daughter 🤗, thank you.
To conclude, Domingos made our day as he had listened to our requests and presented us with the correct combination, enhancing our experience. Please relay our thanks
Will definitely go there again. Enjoy the attached...

I recently visited Big Easy for their 2-hour brunch and left feeling incredibly disappointed, primarily due to the service. While the food was decent enough, the overall experience was significantly soured by the way we were treated.
We had booked the 2-hour brunch, fully aware of the time limit. However, what I found baffling was that we were told we had to leave our table with drinks still unfinished, precisely at the 2-hour mark. This makes absolutely no sense. If the "maximum time" is exactly the same as the duration of the brunch itself, it leaves absolutely no room for guests to enjoy their final drinks or even finish their meal at a relaxed pace. It felt rushed and frankly, a bit of a rip-off. To add insult to injury, there were several empty tables around us that remained unoccupied for a considerable period after we were asked to leave. It begs the question: why couldn't we have finished our drinks at our table, especially when there was ample space available? This was particularly upsetting as it was part of my friend's birthday celebration, and this abrupt ending put a real damper on the occasion. Luckily, we decided to go elsewhere to actually enjoy the rest of our day.
Beyond the table situation, the state of the toilets was frankly unacceptable. There was no toilet paper in any of the stalls and, disgustingly, there was sick in one of the sinks. This level of hygiene is simply not good enough for a restaurant of this supposed calibre.
Finally, and perhaps most shockingly, I witnessed a manager disciplining a member of staff on the restaurant floor, in full view of the guests. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, I was appalled. It's common decency and basic professional practice to address staff issues privately, away from the dining area. This public reprimand was uncomfortable to witness and reflected poorly on the management and overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
Overall, while the food might have been okay, the combination of being rushed off our table before finishing our drinks (especially on a birthday!), the appalling state of the toilets, and the unprofessional management of staff in front of customers left a very negative impression and ultimately ruined a special occasion. I won't be rushing back to Big Easy anytime soon and would advise others to consider these points before booking, especially for any kind of celebration. They need to seriously address their service standards, hygiene practices, and how they treat their customers, especially when it comes to time limits and...
