Spa InterContinental — Local services in London

I had booked a 2 hour spa session before meeting my friend for dinner and overnight stay at the intercontinental and I can honestly say I was "surprised and delighted" by the staff, the offering and the environment.

Dawn the Spa Director was so welcoming and very focused on creating the right environment to relax (and what a beautiful spa it is).

I booked the Steam Temple Experience, which started with a fabulous back massage in a lovely treatment room, Dora my therapist was great, and the massage itself one of the best I've experienced, that although 30 mins was unhurried and was followed by a facial which included a full face massage and personally much more my taste than a traditional facial with just layers of product.

Finally i was led to the steam temple, a beautiful room, with eucalyptus and mud treatments to apply whilst the steam permeates the room, followed by a downpour shower.

After I'd finished i sat in the very nice VIP area and was treated to some beautiful bubbles very generously poured.

I've been lucky enough to go to spas across London and although the Intercontinental lacks the pool, it makes up for it in style comfort and professionalism. It was £250 which for a five star hotel and the experience v somewhere like Aire baths is really good value. Will be back with a couple of my work colleagues and would highly recommend.

My daughter and I cannot thank Nicole the Spa Manager enough for all her help for myself and my daughter with arranging the most perfect pre wedding mummy and daughter ?the bride to be) spa afternoon. I had the Elemis facial with Alice and it was truly one of the best I have had anywhere. My daughter the bride to be had the rose facial and she fell asleep it was that good! The ambiance was quiet and luxurious and very clean and just what we both needed after so much stress leading up to the wedding. You feel like you are cocooned in a private little sanctuary. I mentioned when booking, it had been a tough year for myself and my two daughters. I want to say that the spa experience we had during our visit to London was the best we've ever had. Honestly, the girls are still talking about it and are hoping to make a return visit in the future. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel in such a safe and caring environment, and the entire experience and everyone we encountered were quite simply on another level of amazing. The compassion and kindness that came from Nicole were incredible, and words just do not cover how truly grateful we are for the evening you provided us with.
