As a guest of a member I need to tread carefully. There's a palpable sense of history in this heritage club, located close to the Atheneum and Ritz, opposite Green Park. Clean, smart and well appointed, it befits the RAF tradition. All that said, it's still a little on austere side. Nicely presented, my haddock and poached egg would have benefited from a chunk of dark rye bread. The roast pork main arrived virtually cold and slightly smaller portion size than I'd hoped for. Reminiscent of dining-in night at a base mess long ago. Dessert did compensate somewhat. Everything is very formal and rather old fashioned from the service to the dishes. I admit that it is very efficient and I cannot fault them anywhere, it is just a bit uninspiring. I have included pictures of the bathroom as I don't think I've seen any quite like it. Showers are avalible on...
