We have frequented this establishment multiple times as a family and always had a good experience. With 2 children under 3, having a family area to sit has always been a big draw to come here. However, after such an underwhelming visit today we will not be coming back again. We ordered a dippy egg and soldiers for our toddler, the egg arrived hard boiled. When the server came back with the rest of the food we mentioned the egg and he left to get a replacement, which is fine. It was at this point I noticed that my own order wasn’t as described on the menu. In place of fried eggs and spinach there was poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. When the server returned with the egg (which my toddler was then expected to eat with stone cold toast from the egg before) I mentioned the incorrect parts of my order to which he replied “hmmmm yeah that is different isn’t it”, then practically ran out of the room with no apology or offer to make amends, terrible! We didn’t see him again as somebody different was sent up to clear away our (mostly uneaten) food and with a 2 year old and 7 month old baby with us we didn’t have the time or energy to bring it all up with her. Having spent £40+ on a family treat out, we left feeling very disappointed and ripped off. Errors with the food could be forgiven, but the awful service and attitude are why we won’t be returning or recommending family and friends to...
Read moreI don't normally go to the trouble of writing reviews, but after feeling more than a little disappointed today, I felt I had to. My advice is simple, take things on the menu in a completely literal sense. I ordered my young daughter a sausage sandwich, bearing in mind everything is highly advertised as organic and healthy, this came over as a few tinned hotdog sausages sliced in half, place in between two slices of wet white bread. My daughter looked at me, half a sausage from the plate and left the rest. We also ordered a blueberry milkshake, again this was literally a glass of milk which had had blueberry's mixed into it, no real consistency and just tasted like a glass blueberry flavoured milk. The most annoying thing, aside the fact I had made the effort to be healthy and resist not going into Costa, which is directly opposite, was I was charged over £18 for this and a small cheese and tomato omelette. I hope this helps others, I'm not saying don't go, I'm just saying perhaps ask for exactly what your getting before you order...

We travelled all the way from Cheltenham just to eat here as we are a completely Organic family. Looking into the history of the place it seamed that this would be perfect for us.
We we're absolutely stunned by the menu at first but thought hey, if it's organic it's expensive cost will be worth it.
NOOOO! The coffee was awful and burnt The cake I bought was a Apple and sultana cake and once I delved into I could see ingredients that certainly were not organic. My girls had a croissant each and they were definitely shop bought. Nothing home made about the texture of these. My partners chocolate brownie was not even a brownie, it was a chocolate cake and it was very dry.
Woodruffs I hardly believe that your csfe is fully organic and I doubt that you can prove that it is.
Regardless of this the food and service was poor and I have been left feeling robbed of money, very bloated and sad that someone who created something very beautiful has now...
