Cook Out — Restaurant in Southern Pines

Absolutely awful. Waited 20 minutes in line, fine, lines are usually slow at Cook Outs. But, when we arrived to the speaker, nobody answers. We yelled hello twice, finally someone answered and said "Sorry, we're having technical difficulties". Then nothing, we waited another five minutes to have our order taken, but no one answered again.

So we pulled up to the window, assuming their speaker was broken. Then the girl at the window asked why we didn't pass out offer. We told them honestly we were told there were "technical difficulties" and nobody took our order.

So another woman, with a pink and purple tie dye mask, not covering her mouth, came to the window and proceeded to tell us that she did take our order and called my husband a liar. Ironically, there was no food ready for this "mystery order". The women in the pink and purple mask with blonde hair continued to argue with us, so I finally asked her if we could just order our food and go. Her answer was "Huff, but there will be a wait".

Usually the foods great at the location I go to in southern pines North Carolina ,however, on my last visit the customer service of one of the cashiers on the receipt it says her name was Tatyana was awful she confronted me with very rude remarks about how I ordered a sandwich with pickles when I know I most certainly didn’t in fact she even asked me to repeat myself on numerous occasions during the interaction and when I asked for the sandwich to be made without them she told me to take them off I then told her that’s not how pickles work they contaminant the burger and I can’t stand the taste she than rudely says make another burger to her coworkers and than after smacks her lips and ask for the messed up burger back as if I was trying to use it as an attempt at getting free food I’m outraged at the way I was treated for simply asking for what I ordered not once did it dawn upon her that she heard...

I have been a fan of cookout for a long time. The amount of food for the price beats anything else in town, hands down. But the past three times I've gone to the Southern Pines location, I've been highly disappointed with my food. Today, I got a Cajun chicken sandwich tray with onion rings and fries. There were maybe 3 small rings and I wouldn't even qualify them as onion rings. They were mushed, broken, and not even crispy. The Cajun chicken sandwich was dried out as if it had been sitting out for hours. The meat on the outside of stiff and tough. I couldn't even chew it. I get it, it's a fast food restaurant.
