Incredibly Unprofessional and Inappropriate barista.
I recently visited this Starbucks location and encountered a barista with purple hair who left a lasting impression, although not for the right reasons. Unfortunately, my experience with this particular barista was highly unprofessional and uncomfortable due to their inappropriate conversations.
Upon entering the Starbucks, I was immediately struck by the vibrant hair color of the barista in question. While I appreciate individuality and expression, it seemed that their appearance overshadowed their ability to maintain a professional demeanor. Throughout my visit, I observed the barista engaging in conversations that were clearly inappropriate for a public setting and, more importantly, in a place of business.
Their discussions contained explicit language, offensive jokes, and topics that were completely unrelated to their job or the customers they were serving including joking about “slitting their wrists” and suicide. Not only did this behavior create an uncomfortable environment for me and other customers, but it also demonstrated a lack of respect for the establishment and the role they were hired to fulfill.
As a customer, I expect a certain level of professionalism from the staff of any establishment, especially one as well-known and reputable as Starbucks. It is disappointing to witness such behavior from an employee who should be representing the company in a positive manner. Customers should feel comfortable and welcomed when visiting any Starbucks location, and this barista's conduct certainly did not align with those expectations.
I understand that individuality is encouraged and valued in many workplaces, and personal expression through hairstyles is generally accepted. However, professionalism and appropriate behavior should always take precedence over personal style choices. Unfortunately, in this case, the barista's unprofessional conduct overshadowed any positive attributes they may have possessed.
I hope that Starbucks management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue promptly. It is crucial for the reputation of the company and the satisfaction of its customers that inappropriate behavior is not tolerated. I trust that Starbucks will take the necessary steps to ensure that all employees maintain the highest standards of professionalism and provide a welcoming environment for all patrons.
In conclusion, my experience with the barista at this Starbucks location with purple hair (I believe her name was Rain? Or Ruby?) was marred by their unprofessionalism and inappropriate conversations. I hope that this review serves as constructive criticism and encourages the necessary improvements to ensure a better customer experience...
Read moreOverall, I've had good experiences at this location when using the app. However, the communication between employees and the customer service could use some work. I went in yesterday on my birthday and was confused by the free drink on my phone as it said it expired today (July 11th) and I wanted to order today instead of yesterday. I was told by an employee (dark curly hair) that I should be able to use it the next day and he even took my name down and said he would leave a note so the staff today would know I asked about it previously. Well, when I went in to redeem it today and found it had disappeared off my app as I feared, there was 0 helpfulness at the counter by a different barista (tall, slender guy with a higher-registered voice). I 100% get not wanting people to take advantage of the free drink ONCE a year but to not even offer to check if the note was left and just say "sorry it was for yesterday only" and not offer anything, especially because of the ambiguity of the app, is terrible and honestly took this location down several notches in my view. I also got the impression that he sorta thought I was dumb for not getting it the previous day. I even tried to be proactive but NOTHING which I suppose I should've expected from a billion dollar...
Read moreOh my gosh I wish I could give this location zero stars. My drink was made completely wrong - I added a bunch of things and they only made it with one or two of the customizations which is CRAZY. They completely messed it up.
About 30 minutes after I drank half of it and threw the rest out, I got SEVERE SEVERE SEVERE food poisoning. My husband and I ate and drank all the same things the last 3 days EXCEPT this Starbucks drink and he’s perfectly fine. I had diarrhea at LEAST 15 times yesterday and throughout the night and I violently threw up three times during the night. I was in INCREDIBLE pain so much that I honestly should have went to the ER. I have NEVER had food poisoning this bad before even though I have gotten food poisoning from Starbucks 3 other times in the last few years. I would avoid this location at all costs because they clearly don’t care about cross contamination or keeping things clean. It’s almost been 24 hours since I got the drink and I’m FINALLY starting to feel a little bit better. Starbucks and its employees… yall need to...
