#1. The store appearance and product is disorganized, and you MUST pay attention to the expiration dates on EVERYTHING in the store. On one trip in September that I was there, I had found hot dogs that were expired in July! Every time I go there I find something that is outdated still on the shelves, that’s poor management. The atmosphere in the place is just very unfriendly also. Some of the cashiers are like zombies, I always pack my own groceries to help out, at this store…the cashiers never thank me for helping, at the other Marc’s stores I have frequented,(Waterloo Rd.) and (State Rd.) the cashiers always are appreciative and thank me. The only reason I come to this Marc’s (Howe Ave) is because they have a pharmacy. Go to the one on State Rd. it’s 5 minutes from this one, and the two are like night and day. Which leads me into number two….
#2. I have been using the pharmacy at this location for two years now, since I moved here. They have been great up until now. My doctors send my prescriptions in advance with a date to be filled, they were always filled perfectly on the day and I always got a text notification in the morning that they were ready. Now on those days, I haven’t been getting the text, myself or my mother will go there to pick them up and they haven’t even filled them yet, or they tried filling a prescription that they just filled for me 2 weeks prior instead of the one that just came over from the doctor. umm…..shouldn’t they be looking right at that on the computer screen?? So now one of us has to wait….the thing is when a person is on disability and doesn’t feel good, they don’t want to have to wait around for a prescription that should have already been filled ready and waiting. The final straw that prompted me to write this review was what happened today when my mother who is elderly, went to pick up my medication that should have been filled and ready. It wasn’t, and they made her wait over an HOUR! And that’s after she was in the day before picking up another prescription and tried getting the other one, but couldn’t because it was dated for the next day, so they knew to fill it. I will be pulling all my prescriptions from Marc’s, and finding another pharmacy, one that is...
Read moreLet me tell you - Marc Glassman needs to visit this store of his. And clean house - literally and figuratively. The store's dirty. Can't sugarcoat that. But what made me leave this review is the strange experience I had there. Anyone who needs a few random things can usually stop at Marc's and get what they need - it's the checkout process that usually grinds your errands to a halt. What really chapped my rear end was what happened when I carried a completely dried-out plant (one of many) over to the service desk to see if they had some water, or were planning on watering the plants sometime soon. The employee at the desk just stared at me when I approached - not a 'how can I help you' or anything. Just stared at me, waiting for me to speak. So I held the plant out, saying 'hey, I just wanted to let you know this plant is dried out, and I wondered...' but I didn't to finish my sentence, I was cut off with "it doesn't look dead to me!" So I tried again. "Is someone going to be watering the plants because they're all ' (dried up is what I was going to say) but she interrupted again telling me that yes it was someone's job to water them and she was sure they'd get to it. I was stumped. I took a breath, and calmly said "let me start again. All I wanted to do is come over here and let you know your plant section needs attention." She then said 'well I can tell a manager if you like'. Incredible. Yes, hon, please do tell a manager. Actually, I may go looking for that person myself. At this point, the 'security' guard who'd been helping himself to popcorn out of the popper had turned around and was listening so you ask him if this is accurate. I put the plant back on the shelf, collected the items I'd gone in to buy, and commenced waiting in line. Two registers open, 6 people waiting in each line. I thought about carrying my four items over to that service desk, and looked over there, but the clerk was hiding. Ducking down behind the lottery tickets so no one would see her and go over there to check out. (see picture) So that's my tale of Marc's. Going to repost, because this isn't showing up...
Read moreI had the worst experience at the Marc’s on Howe Rd yesterday! These lady’s were so over rude! Didn’t help me with my moms medications. Wouldn’t look up her insurance, made us pay for them. Very rude to me. I ask her to please give my a certain manufacturer of one of her meds. My mother gets very sick on one of them. I said please mam if you don’t have the right one, I can get that certain prescription somewhere else. She said “whatever I have she gets!” I said I understand you are busy, I just need this one medicine to be ok for my mother. She was rude, condescending judge-mental. Embarrassed me. Do you she saw the medicine that my mom could not have and filled it anyway. My mom is 75 years old has a broken arm, broken shoulder and six broken ribs all on the same side. In so much pain. She had to take one of that medication and vomited all night. She is worse off than she was yesterday! Feels like she injured her ribs again from vomiting violently. Maybe she shouldn’t have taken it but didn’t know what else to do.Pharmacy told me she would not fix the problem and exchange the medication before I left. She was so nasty to me and very judge mental. Making me feel like I was doing wrong. I have to say probably the worst experience I’ve had at a pharmacy. When were there for our first visit in many years, because we thought they were kind from what we had heard. I would never return or forget the way I was treated and the lack of empathy for my mother. This was at HoweRd in Cuyahoga falls Ohio. My mom is very sick because of this today and is without her pain meds. I just can’t imagine if this had been done to a child. The lack of compassion was inconceivable. So be careful when you visit...
