The absolute rudest and unfriedly woman I have ever met. Cursed at my wife, yelled at my kids before they even entered the store. Our 2 year old was on my shoulders and she came charging at us yelling to take her down. When we took her down our child touched a stone and she continued to yell at us as we left. We respect everyone's businesses and all of this could have been avoided if she had the decency to just kindly ask us to take our child down instead of charging at us yelling. Afterward my wife went back to try to talk to the woman and possibly see what the misunderstanding was and she denied yelling and had the audacity to tell her we have "to many kids" and to just get out of her store. I am a naval officer who prides myself on my well-behaved children and family. To be so disrespected for no reason is inexcusable and disgraceful. Took a cruise to see Skagway and was so excited at finding this place today and was about to spend a couple hundred dollars. When I went inside to compliment them and the lady contracted to work, there was a horrid lady working there who was more concerned with filing her nails than listening to a customer compliment the store. All I wanted to do was compliment the artiest who cut some of the pieces, and she came back with some snarky comment about how I should be thanking God and not the artist. I have never had such a bad experience anywhere on my travels. I immediately put back what I was going to purchase and left the store. This was such a horrible experience! My husband and I took our kids in, we are all big rock junkies and my son ALWAYS gets a couple rocks at rock shops. I held my daughter in my arms but my 4 year old was walking around. She was FREAKING out about my son touching some $6 rocks. She was rude multiple times and so obviously so that some other people who were in the shop felt so bad for my son they bought him something from another to stop him from crying after we left. They didn’t spend their money there either. If you don’t want kids in a rock shop please post signs and that would be respected.
