I have been searching for the perfect bands to go with my old wedding set. I had ideas in my mind and knew I wanted rose gold. I had been searching for about 5 years. When I was on a trip in Alaska recently i found a ring that was okay and “kind of” what I was looking for. But it was in white gold it was a high pressure jewelry store and we ended up buying it because they said they could dip the ring in rose gold and it would last 15 years. Well, it wore off after only 1 month. I tried to reach the store and they would not respond. So, i came to Albuquerque Gold and Silver and spoke with Teresa. She listened to what I had in my mind and looked at tons of photos I had saved in my phone of what I was looking for. I left all my rings with her and she took all the diamonds from those rings and designed exactly what I wanted. She drew a rendering of what she had in mind and it was as if she penetrated my brain and pulled out what I was looking for. They sent me a computer design and I signed off on the design. It is the most gorgeous thing I own and I will forever come here when I want or need more jewelry because it is absolutely perfect. I almost can’t believe how perfect it is. Abq silver and gold exchange came highly recommended by a friend who pulled out a wrinkled and worn card out of her wallet . My diamond fell out of my engagement ring that was purchased three years ago online at Brilliant Earth (by the way , don’t do this) This was the third stone to fall out of my rings in these three years . I took this old card and ran over to Abq gold and silver exchange to have it repaired . Over the course of 6 weeks , Theresa and Jamie cared for me . I was just devastated. They were honest and forthcoming . After a careful evaluation of my ring , they brought to me the even more devastating news that my gorgeous ring was just not built right and continuously repairing it would be costly . Teresa Helped me design a gorgeous heart shaped ring with a matching band. It was my first time doing something like this. The staff & owner were patient with me, as I changed a couple of things after I got the design via CAD (the computer software). I trust the owner and the staff. I was referred to this business by one of my trusted clients. The communication was great, and Teresa was very kind, patient, and creative. She and I got pen and paper and sketched out my initial design together. She had some really valuable recommendations that made the overall look of the ring look unique. Her suggestions were calculated and precise in order to bring out the shapes of surrounding stones. It was great working with someone with a creative ability. She also designs wedding dresses for another business, so Teresa's mind is full of artistic and creative ability. From the start of this project to the end It took about 6 months. But that is because I made a couple changes, the ring had to be sent back with the band so they can make sure it fit together properly, then I had to send it out again for the GIA certification.
