Just passing by and decided to come and check this place out...there were some mixed reviews but overall it seem to look good...I usually don't go out to eat because I'm on a strict diet and sometimes you just don't know what the food of the restaurants has...anyway, came in waiter greeted and say hi have a seat anywhere sir...took a closely look at the menu and saw a couple things that were questionable...but I wanted to order the kulantro pho...minus the cilantro and jalapeño ( waiter mention that jalapeños are on the side)okie fine no problem ...I also ask about the spicy lemongrass soup just being curious...what's the garnishes...waiter said there are onions and cilantro...so okie what kind green or white...anyway I wasn't going to order it...I have to say the menu needs to have more (descriptions) on it so that customers like me with a strict diet knows exactly what's in it...because sometime I think the wait staff doesn't know everything and it's not their fault...long story short the pho I ordered minus the cilantro has cilantro in it...call the waiter and he came over and I said sorry but this has cilantro...he Said sorry he did put it on the ticket but some how they forgot...and then politely ask if I would like to take it out or they can make a different bowl for me...knowing myself I hate to return food back to the kitchen but there was just too many cilantros...anyway I said could you please make me another bowl...he said sure will be right out sorry about that...okie minutes later it came out but this time the kitchen staff or whom ever bought it out for me...guess what? There are cilantro in it...could be some kind of miscommunication between the waiter and kitchen staff...anyway I just took most of it out and started to eat the pho...but oh boy did I found it so tasty and just plain delicious...one of the best pho I ever had...I guess after all everything was okie...So only complaints was menu is a little vague needs more details...and staff needs to make sure things are not put in the food when ask by customers...other then that the food was delicious...will come...

We thought the food was delicious. These are the same owners as the Vietnamese restaurant in Sawmill Market. We liked the food at Sawmill and thought we would try this location. The prices are lower at the Menaul location. We started with the beef roll appetizers which were very flavorful. You also get 8-10 rolls (we lost count). My boyfriend had the noodle bowl with grilled pork and I had the pho with rare steak and brisket. I tried his noodle bowl and it was great. He likes spicy food so he added sriracha. I added a little hoisin sauce to the pho. It was flavorful so it didn’t need much beyond the basil. He also asked for a knife. If you want one, just ask! The pho was outstanding. It was hot enough to cook the rare steak without being too hot to eat - the perfect temperature. The portions were huge. We both had almost 1/3 to 1/2 leftover. We actually like that you get a lot of fresh veggies (greens, cucumbers, carrots, cabbage) with the noodle bowl since you usually don’t at other Vietnamese restaurants. Service was attentive and everything was clean, including the bathroom. The waiter packed up our leftovers nicely so they didn’t spill in the car. Overall we highly recommend! We look forward...

Under new ownership — still says Bamboo Grill out front but now the true name of the place is “Bamboo by (New owners)”. All the previous chefs that made Bamboo Grill incredibly delicious are gone, and unfortunately it shows. In addition to the menu being stripped down, the quality of the food and the cooking was uneven at best. There were still a few bright spots to be had, as the egg rolls were decent and the shrimp was delicious. However, the noodles in the Bamboo Bowl I ordered were rubbery, and we were served partly expired lettuce with the egg rolls. The vegetables did not have any seasoning and the pork, while having a decent flavor, was extremely dense and tough. The staff are clearly trying to get their feet under them and the restaurant isn’t fully advertising yet as they’re undergoing a full business makeover at the moment. I’d give them 2.5 stars instead of two if Google would let me, but I’m rounding down because the new experience was unfortunately quite disappointing. For now, I’d give them a few months to really get up and running before going back to...

I have been trying to eat since it opened. Didn't know this was their 2nd location that helps with the main location in Sawmill market. Either way I finally got in today and hour before closing. Perfect timing as most customers were clearing out and got to talk with the wait staff a fair amount. I ordered a beef Vietnamese sandwich and pork kabob. Both came out quickly and had great taste. I could tell they put a lot of effort in the preparation of the meats. The flavor on both were a 10. Being honest if I wasn't hungry I couldn't have finished both plates. Certainly two of the best plates I have eaten this year for sure. I could eat the sandwich a few times a week. The service was upstanding and very polite. The place had a great layout and plenty of natural light. No complaints at all. At the price point of the food I will be back in for sure. I know of no place in town you can eat this good and healthy for 14.00 dollars. Thank you so much for the great lunch

Obviously, under new ownership. Menu I viewed online was definitely not their current menu. It had far fewer choices and prices were higher. They are understaffed. 1 waiter for the entire restaurant + he was handling seating and to go orders. Tables weren’t wiped down well, silverware didn’t look very clean. We ordered shrimp spring rolls to start and wish we didn’t. The spring roll wrapper was thick and gummy and very hard to cut/chew. They don’t give you a knife, so it was nearly impossible to eat without making a mess. The rice power bowl was just okay. Once again, you have no knife so eating the huge cuts of raw vegetables was nearly impossible. The shrimp and chicken were cooked well and tasted good. Overall, a huge dud.
