I was intrigued to visit Blue Portal after having lunch at Church St Cafe. The name itself suggested something special inside, and I wasn’t disappointed!

Blue Portal is a local gift shop featuring art and crafts made by local seniors. The items are reasonably priced, especially compared to mass-produced souvenirs. Linda, a friendly and knowledgeable associate, guided me through the store, explaining that 100% of the proceeds go directly back to the artists. They even host events where the artists come to speak! It gave me chills to see a place that supports seniors in expressing their creativity.
