First of all, I love this store. It’s got some really great things for the home. The artists are top notch. Regarding the bizarre review left on the merry go round, I gotta say, I’m stunned. Aside from clear grammatical and sentence structure issues, the content was probably the most idiotic thing I’ve read. The merry go round is a remnant from the old school playground and meant to be operational about as much as an old tractor set as yard art. The owner of this property (who leases the space to Desert Bird and nine other businesses, left it there as a piece of nostalgia. Go ahead! Take a spin! Crack open your head and file a lawsuit! But, ultimately, to blame this great store for not being able to play on a piece of yard art is not only bizarre, but terribly childish and misguided. Good work, “Dr. La”! This store and Tammy the owner are absolutely AMAZING!!!!! The artwork for the textiles, pillows, and home decor is just beautiful and so much fun! We moved away from ABQ years ago, and I'm using Tammy's designs to remind me of home. Aside from the beautiful artwork in her designs, she has great ideas for entire projects and spent hours helping me figure it all out. I haven't even finished my order yet, but I'm so impressed with how attentive and creative she is, I needed to leave a glowing review! Definitely stop in the shop... Desert Bird is a gem in the heart of Corrales. One of the best places for unique gifts and lovely handcrafted items for the house. I always find something I love.
