UPDATED TO ZERO STARS. This place was just "o.k". We only went here because my son likes the show. We arrived about exactly 10 am when it opened on a Sunday. I personally didn't see anything in there that remotely interested me; then again, I have yet to watch the series on t.v to now what all the spunk is about. Almost immediately, the place began to fill fuller and fuller and FULLER with people. The prices for stuff they had too were attrocious and side splitting hilariously ridiculous. I can see spending for a novelty, but asinine is another issue all together!_ no thank you! An issue with this direct area bit not necesarrily aboit the actual BB store is parking. There Is a Walgreens across the street maybe we SHOULD have parked THERE. Instead we chose a paid parking lot behind and down a few ( buildings). When we came back. My full sized crew cab DUALLY 4x4 long bed silverado was partly boxed in by much smaller cars. To get OUT_ I had to BARELY squeeze my truck between another car and a utility pole, between an alley and other little cars, down side streets where barely big enough alone for 1 and 1 directions and had all these 'people with there cars just STOPPED on both Mid sides so there was ((( BARELY)) Enough room for my Dually hips to even pass by_ I have NO F'en clue WHY they use streets like that. AND the entire AREA seriously reminds me of the downtown streets in places like Iraq, Afghanistan and such-including the mud like looking brick huts/ buildings_SERIOUSLY!!!! I was never so happy to get the hell out of THAT old community!!!! UPDATE TO THERE REPLY: isn't just like you to not even now ME but side bash me over my review. Thanks for the personal attacks to which I did NONE on you. Maybe I should have! And becauae you personally attack me; now you have Zero star ratings. I showed my kids your reply too; you just lost the cool points and espect with even them. How you feel now. Wanna keep going?!?! Good luck with that business_...
Read moreOne of the best experiences I've EVER had at a store/museum anywhere in the country. Hats off, 5-Stars, AAA+
I cannot begin to express how much love and dedication the owners and staff have put into this place for us (the fans.) They are incredibly kind, generous, funny, and knowledgeable folks who deeply love the shows. This is a store made by fans for the fans. I would wager The Breaking Bad Store ABQ hosts quite possibly the largest Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul display of artifacts, screen used props, etc in the world. They have several photo ops to help cement your memories, and even regularly have hosted meet & greets with actors from the shows. I HIGHLY encourage you to spend some money in their shop because there's some unique items, to gift a loved one, and of course to support their cause. The effort is obvious. You don't see spots with heart like this often. Even if you're just curious (or never even seen the shows) this should most definitely still be a stop anytime you're in Albuquerque. Also, you just may never know who you might run into on a visit here. The store has became famous for good reason.
I've personally witnessed the multiple incarnations of the store and its growth, and what Ed, Marq (& team Lisa/Santi) have all created from the inception is something truly special. From my observation the place has filled a much needed void for the fans to experience Breaking Bad in the city that made it famous with the experience, warmth and dedication us fans deserve. (Also consider signing up for the separate RV Tour) I'm fairly confident that even Vince Gilligan himself would consider this spot to be an oasis of the desert.
Simply put: The Breaking Bad Store ABQ has became as ABQ quintessential as Green Chiles, the Sandias, Isotopes, or the welcoming drive by photo ops at "Walt's House." 😂
P.S. If you're a SUPER fan and truly know your stuff (and the store isn't super busy) maybe test and request a...
Read moreWhat’s the coolest store in Albuquerque? I know, I know! It’s The Breaking Bad Store! It is one-half retail, one-half museum, and 100% a ton of fun. Of course, having watched Breaking Bad, as well as its prequel Better Call Saul, and the movie sequel, El Camino, does help a bit. Even if you haven’t, though, this store is worth pinning on your personal Google Map of ABQ destinations.
Co-owners Marq and Ed do an amazing job of sourcing product that captures the zeitgeist of the fandom. If you can’t find something you like—need—want—then shame on you! From hoodies to t-shirts, games, hats, you name it, they’ve got it. And one of the best parts is that they also showcase local artists and craftspersons, showcasing their wares along with all of the licensed goods. It’s a win/win for everyone.
The museum part is simply jaw-dropping. Marq and Ed have managed to compile the premier collection of props and related ephemera from the two shows and movie, thanks to their expansive contacts list and just being all around cool guys. They know the shows, the principles, the production team, pretty much everyone involved. Better yet, they are two of the most generous people I know, having hosted multiple BrBa/BCS-themed parties through the years, and giving away many thousands of dollars of cool stuff they managed to procure.
My only regret on my recent visit is that neither Marq nor Ed were in that day, and time did not permit me to return while in town. But that didn’t stop me from leaving money. I’ll be back, as...
