This place exemplifies fantastic customer service and true support for small businesses. Recently, I shipped a custom candle order from my Chicago-based studio to Alexandria. Unfortunately, during transit, the package was tampered with, and several candles were removed. The candles were intended as gifts for a luncheon the following day, leaving my customer understandably upset.

With time running out and from states away, I reached out to several places in Alexandria, hoping to find someone who could help replace the missing items. Shop Made in VA - Alexandria was incredible. They quickly identified similar items at a comparable price and, remarkably, even offered to hand-deliver the candles to the customer’s hotel. Rachel, who helped me, was fantastic—her kindness and dedication made all the difference.

Lovely store highlighting local Virginia makers. I've been in a few times, it's a great place to find some local art for yourself or as a gift. I recently went in, purchased a picture of old town for a gift. The art was beautiful and although it depicted well known Alexandria buildings, it didn't say Old Town on it. I asked the employees if they would be willing to write old town on it (because I have terrible penmanship). They very graciously agreed and it came out beautifully. I am eternally thankful! Shop Made in VA hosted one of my bachelorette activities and it was a wonderful experience. Ella was a pleasure to work with when it came to planning and finding an activity. She's was quick to respond and answered any questions. The rest of the Shop Made in VA team was just as great.

We decided to go with a flower pressing class with Hailey from Wildry and it was so much fun. Hailey educated us about the flower pressing process and different compositions when designing our pieces. They were so helpful and a great host.
