My email to this business: "My husband and I are scheduled to attend your class tomorrow. I would like to know if we can reschedule our date? The timing is not good. We are celebrating our anniversary, however, my husband has Hodgkin's Lymphoma and he has noticeable swelling in both his ankles and another area. It's concerning to me (both of us, actually), and I will not feel comfortable with us driving an hour to get there and with him attending. Let me know if a reschedule is possible."
Business owner's response: "I am sorry to hear of your husband's illness. Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate your request. According to our policy, which you agreed to when you registered, there are no changes within seven days before the start of the class."
My response: "I find it disingenuous to say 'sorry' about someone's illness, but in the same breath say "We're not going to accommodate you."
'Wear Ever Jewelry reserves the right to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances', but if someone's spouse has cancer and their legs and ankles are too swollen to attend (an unforeseen circumstance) then that needs to be reported within 7 days prior? How does that work in the medical world? I did not know that swollen lymph nodes were on a scheduled basis.
I am already distraught, but this is just heartless.
I would close with 'Have a good day', but really, may you have the day, week and year you deserve."
In sum, if your spouse has Cancer and you are unable to attend this class because of issues they are having, and ask if you can reschedule (not be refunded), count this one as a loss, because the Owner...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of attending a couples ring-making class at Wearever Jewelry with a group of friends, and what a unique experience it was! First off, letâs address the elephant in the roomâthe price. It was a bit on the higher side for what was included, but I can honestly say it was still a fun way to spend an afternoon.
The class featured thick steel rings that we imprinted and worked into our own sizes. While the two instructors were super friendly and supportive, much of the actual instruction came from pre-made videos by what Iâd assume is the owner. Now, I appreciate a good video, but letâs just say these could use a little TLCâperhaps a revamp is in order to really bring the process to life!
One thing I wished for was the option of thinner rings. Iâm not typically a fan of chunky jewelry, so having a few more options would have been great. However, the overall experience was enjoyable, and it was hard not to have fun while crafting something unique with friends.
The class lasted about three hours, and while we were given drinks and snacks to enjoy, there were moments when we found ourselves waiting for our turn to work on our rings. I suspect if the group had been smaller, we could have wrapped up in about an hour to an hour and a half.
All in all, it was a different and memorable experience! If youâre in a good place financially and looking for something unique to do, Iâd definitely suggest giving Wearever Jewelry a try. If we lived closer, Iâd be tempted to explore their other classes that offer more variety and designs. Happy...
Read moreUpdate: Rings definitely turn your finger green!
The couples ring making class was a good learning experience, however, I am disappointed in the overall quality of the ring.
I really enjoyed learning how to make the rings with my husband. There were more than enough teachers and help going around if you got stuck during any part of the instruction.
I chose the floral print with oxidation and it didnât come out looking as good as Iâve seen other final products in pictures. Perhaps the print wasnât pressed into the metal hard enoughâŠ. or perhaps the ring didnât sit in the chemical long enough for the oxidation to really stick. Either way, both are faded. The print is hardly noticeable and the shading from the oxidation has wiped off almost entirely within the first few hours of wearing the ring.
Maybe, both were my fault as I could have always brought it up to the instructors attention but at the time I wasnât entirely sure how the finished product should look with the specific print I chose.
Outside of whatâs mentioned above, my biggest complaint is the metal quality. We were told that we would be using sterling sliver⊠but after a few hand washes, my ring is now bronze! At this rate, I wouldnât be surprised if my finger turned green. I am very disappointed by this.
Again, I thought we had a good experience but the end product was poor quality. I probably wonât book again or buy from the store now that I know the quality of the...
