We went as a group for a business trip. We struggled to check in and they repeatedly tried to tell us that they weren't going to give us all the days we booked and tried to charge us more despite previously booking the room. This is not about the 50 dollar security deposit. The man behind the counter kept having to call his manager for everything. The first thing we noticed with our hotel room was that we couldn't get into our parking spot because of trash and another car being parked uncomfortably close which might not be the fault of the hotel but set our expectations low. Many of the outdoor lights were flickering. Directly outside our door was a shopping cart, next to it was a grill and a giant bucket of cigarette butts. As soon as we walked in we were hit with a wave of stange oder. When checking for bedbugs we noticed a BLOODSTAIN on the corner of the bed! I'm hoping to god that was a period bloodstain and not a murder bloodstain. We then found a drawer full of bread chunks, garlic cloves, onion skins, and trash. The other drawers and furniture were dirty. We tried to avoid touching or setting on anything while we discussed other possible hotels. This isn't very important but they also didn't give us enough washcloths for the amount of people we told them would be in the hotel. We left and are still fighting for a refund

The website says the front desk is open 24-7, but it is not. There's no coffee makers in the room. The front office opens at 7 and the "continental breakfast" consists of coffee, sugar, and creamer; that's it. So if you plan on being up and out by 7. Bring your own coffee. Also, the office is poorly lit on the outside; I thought it was closed when I pulled up. The first room I had wasn't bad for the price. I didn't see any bed bugs, but there were gnats everywhere. The toilet didn't flush right, but it did and I don't pay the water bill. The room smelled of mold and mildew. In the second room I was in the chain lock on the door was broke, the toilet constantly ran, stains and burn holes riddled the bed cover. This room was just gross. They have a no refunds policy otherwise I would have went to another motel. The staff here are all miserable from the patronizing and uptight morning front desk lady/manager/wife of General Manager to the housekeeping. This place is a nightmare.

I was in PA this weekend for an exploring trip, and needed an affordable room for the night. Found Rodeway on a Google maps search, and decided it would fit my needs. The guy who checked me in was quite friendly, and was able to get me through the check-in process swiftly, and we chatted for a minute. Location was within minutes of several restaurants and shopping; relatively quiet. The room was your standard motel room...nice TV, plenty of towels, clean bed, and a refrigerator! The front desk lobby offers a few vending machines, ice machine, and small laundry area. The only...complaint I would have (which really is just a mild inconvenience) was the toilet made a pretty terrifying sound when flushed, bit that by no means ruined what was a fine experience. Checkout was just as easy (a young lady working morning shift). All in all, a good place for the cost, I reccomend and would return in the future.

A bit annoyed. Can't take a bath because even with the stopper up and in use the bath drains rapidly and toilet doesn't fill correctly so you have to stand there jiggling the handle for a few minutes to stop it. The ice has mold in it and the night staff I told did nothing about it when I first got here. The beverage machine occasionally dispenses pre opened and partially drank drinks. Occasionally both vending machines will take money and not dispense anything either. I just tried to use the ATM for the last 3 days and it's always out of order due to an error. Tried speaking to night staff and he ignored me because he's listening to music and can't hear when someone loudly says hello I need assistance because I'm trying to figure out when the ATM will work. Oh and the TV will randomly shut off and if you try to go back to that channel you are sol for 5-20 minutes because it will continue to shut off when you go back to the channel.

According to the man currently acting as reception the ATM hasn't worked for awhile and management just isn't fixing it. Highly annoyed at how awful the hotel is. We never would have stayed here if we knew they lied about amenities on the best choice website and everything

*3/27/25 edit- been waiting at the lobby for 15 minutes trying to get back into my room. For the last week my key card will stop working. I don't keep it near my phone or anything. Highly annoyed by this. *3/29/25 edit- still no wifi after 2 weeks. It only works in the lobby and you aren't allowed to "hang out" in the lobby 😒😒😒 *4/13/25 edit - just tried to dry clothes for over 2.5 hours for them to not even be remotely dry. Spoke to receptionist and she said the top dryer doesn't work and then tried to back peddle saying it works but not that well. The fridge also keeps short circuiting so I had to throw out $100 worth of groceries in there. They do not offer reimbursement for ANYTHING.10/10 will never stay here again. Once I leave I'm also going to notify best choice to take them off as an option because in March I had to throw out about $150 worth of groceries as well. Also I spoke to the vending machine company/ owner and they did drop off a refund for me but hotel staff claimed to never have gotten anything.. for the $2,000 we've spent staying here till we found an apartment you'd think they could afford to fix things or actually provide customer service. Being charged anywhere from $57-88 a night is ridiculous for how many problems there are. 4/13/25 got threatened with being kicked out because I finally lost my cool about everything that's gone wrong. I left a "mess" because I tossed an unopened bag of chips on the counter out of frustration. Told I "treated them like slaves" because I held them(hotel staff in general) responsible for not providing any customer service. Lost my cool because the woman smirked at me threw her hands up while shrugging and shook her head when I asked if there was anything they could do. Admittedly I did cuss when I said they actually had to fix stuff here instead of brushing everything off instead of letting things get worse(i.e broken tub, the ATM, the fridge, dryer, vending machine). But coming to my room to scream at me saying I treat them like slaves when I don't speak to them outside of extending my reservation, problems with the things listed above, and giving them extra donuts I bought at work is ridiculous. If I'm going to be kicked out I want refunded the $240 of food I had to throw out, the $ for the dryer, and my refund that we originally paid for in cash that they used for a night without our permission that I had to repay with my boyfriends card because I didn't have cash on hand. And I want a refund for at least the last 2 days I just paid for immediately because I'm supposed to be here till Tuesday.

Ill remove my post or update it after speaking to the owner/manager in the morning. Hopefully the update will be better than what I've experienced here in the last...

If I could give less than one star I would. Do not stay here, I say again do not stay here.

I booked this thru priceline.com for 40 dollars a night. I booked this after reading the reviews and knowing this was a budget hotel, and I had very very low expectations.

I arrived at 11pm. The reservation was for six nights and the money had already been withdrawn from my bank account.

I went into the office at 11pm only to be informed that I had to pay an additional 100+ to be able to stay. I questioned why and they explained they do not accept reservations for more than one night at that rate. Ok but why did you take my money and why do you advertise at that rate. Unfortunately the clerk had no answer. I then asked what the nightly rate was. His answer was around 60 a night.

Seriously 60 a night for a super budget hotel. Ok fine. I then asked since you have already taken my money, can we just shorten the reservation to 4 nights.

His response. Well you have to call Priceline and get approval. So your telling me that you have already taken my money after falsely advertising something. Now you want me to get my money back at 11pm or pay your rate. Eventually I get to cut the reservation down, for the money I had already paid and I know get my room key.

I entered the room. Completely what I was expecting. Mattress and a shower. All I need.

Paint was peeling in spots. Mattress had a burn hole in it. No coffee pot, and only one functioning light in the main area of room. The bathroom lights did work.

There were red stains on the ceiling. Not sure what that was. But no creepy crawly so I could have dealt with all that.

Every single night I had to return to the office so they could reprogram my key card. I was careful not to keep it near my cell phone or other credit cards.

The room only had two towels and three small pillows. When I went to the office asking for more towel and possibly another pillow, I was told the laundry was closed and was out of luck.

I was there for three nights and never once did housekeeping come to my room.

Finally on the last night a police officer was stationed in the parking lot. The hotel isn't located in a great area. The people parked in front of my room were using drugs in there car.

Lastly I was awoken to some type of radio, appeared to be police but couldn't be sure.

So I had one night left but couldn't take it anymore. I checked out and paid for the Hampton inn down the street.

Please keep in mind I'm perfectly ok with a budget hotel but this place was below even my standards.

While checking out another person was ahead of me. I hate to judge by appearance but he was shady. They were trying to sort out his reservation. He was stating his therapist should have set it up. Take that for...

Was actually lied to by hotel desk clerk that presented herself as the general manager and was kicked out and then accused of stealing of all things a mattress cover that never was even on bed that should have been.was denied use of Cleaning supplies and trash from our room sat outside door for two days before being removed.to top it off the fake manager charged us $30 out of our deposit then we later found out through corporate that she stole that not only from our family but the motel as well because she never reported charging us for any damages.a charity was paying for another week for my family because we were staying because a new home failed inspection and this false manager told charity she couldn't extend our stay because the motel was sold out which also was a lie confirmed by corporate office and now my family has no place to stay until the 15th when our new home will be ready.i was very very pleased with how customer service rep RON handled my complaint and report by extremely displeased by a slap in the face offer of one night stay at one of the 4 star hotels in same chain.my family was kicked out in the streets and treated like criminals by this motels staff and actually stolen from by staff and they think one night stay at another location is sufficient for what this staff person did to us .I think not and unfortunately am left no choice but to force this company to be accountable for their employees actions because in the end it's the chain that we as customers spend our hard earned money with.this may seem like a made up story but I swear it really happened if I could score this motel any lower I honestly would a score of 1 is a under statement for the experience my family went through and still going through because we have another week we have to worry about where we will be staying because the false manger lying to the charity that was paying for our last week that only could do business with this motel so now that's my true review...
