Been here a few times now and this place never disappoints. The soup dumplings keep bringing me back and we've tried a few other things that have been terrific too! Just a brief of things we've had: Onion pancake is slightly oily but delicious and crispy. Pork Cabbage Dumplings (Steamed and Fried) are close on the heels of the soup dumplings. Fantastic! Beef dumplings (fried) are also delicious and fair warning, release enough fluid to almost qualify for a soup dumpling. Broccoli Chicken has great flavor and is deliciously simple. Crawfish Noodles was super good w/ a perfect Szechuan spice to it. BBQ Bao - Delicious fluffy BBQ goodness. Spicy Szechuan Popcorn Fish - These fried Szechuan dishes are some of my go-to's (Chicken, Fish, Shrimp, etc.) and theirs did NOT disappoint! I am super happy to have this in Allen instead of having to drive to Plano for this! and finally... Pork Xiao Long Bao. It worth trying this place just for these! They are a good size, amazingly delicious, comforting, and filling with a deep rich flavor that you have to try! These could literally be a meal on their own.
I still have sights on trying their soups and more of their noodle dishes but felt it was time to give them a plug as my family really...
Read more🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 “A Bowl That Fed My Soul, Not Just My Stomach” I walked into Noodles & Dumplings Time thinking I was just here to eat. I left wondering if I should tip for emotional healing too. 😩🔥
I ordered the spicy noodle soup, and listen—this wasn’t just food, this was a full-blown experience. The kind that makes you pause mid-bite, close your eyes, and whisper “damn.” The broth? Rich, layered, and made like someone’s grandmother had a secret recipe and a whole lot of love. The noodles? Perfect texture. Not too soft, not too firm—just like the kind of man we all deserve but rarely find. 🥵
But the food was only part of the story. What really moved me was the energy of the people. You can feel when people pour love into what they do—and this place is filled with it. Every smile, every gesture, every detail… it felt like home, even if no one at home ever cooked like this. The owners, John Liu and his team, have something special here—something most places can’t fake: soul.
If you’re looking for a meal that fills your stomach and shifts your spirit, this is it. And trust me—once you eat here, you’ll understand why I’m lowkey mad I didn’t find it sooner.
谢谢,我还会再来的。 (Thank you. I’ll be back again.) Probably tomorrow. Or in an hour....
Read moreWe fell in love with pork Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) when we lived near a Din Thai Fung restaurant (slightly fancy chain restaurant in big cities on the coast). So thats what I'll compare against.
Pork Xiao long is delicious. Just as tasty as din Thai fungus. However, they're also 4x the size here. More food is good, but it is a mouthful. Our kids couldn't eat them in one bite, and I feel like the experience is lost a little when thats the case.
Spicy wonton were decent. I wish they offered shrimp spicy wonton.
Chicken fried rice was acceptable.
I ordered takeout, but my hands were full with a sleeping 2 year old. Worker offered to walk the food out to my car. Thats 5 star service in my book.
We'll definitely be back. Next time we may mix it up and try "normal" dumplings too alongside the soup ones. But for anyone who's never tried soup dumplings, poke a hole in the side of one while its in a large spoon to let some soup out. Dump a little of the black vinegar sauce on top of dumpling. Then eat the whole spoonful in one bit. Caution, insides can be hot. But...
