Went on 7/25/2025 at around 5:30pm, the store is great and everything is great! However, I would like to make a concern about an employee named Karla (Carla?).
My bf and I went on my birthday to cash in two free blind boxes (my bf’s bday is also in July). However, there was an issue with scanning the two coupons as you could only cash in one at a time. We didn’t know this and asked if we could cancel one of the blind boxes’ purchase, which the girl at the register had trouble with.
That’s when this woman with green hair and fake freckles came (Karla/Carla) and tried helping her. Karla ended up saying that we could only cancel the whole order and the first coupon would be voided. Of course, this was very upsetting to hear, but as she was cancelling our order, instead of apologizing for their system, she said, “This is a one time courtesy.”
This is so unprofessional and very rude to hear, especially on someone’s birthday and at a store that prides itself on making people happy. I hope Karla/Carla can find peace within herself and be a better person.
Additionally, it turned out that the coupon was not voided so we came back and got the second blind box :D The other girl is very nice and super pretty. Would come back again if it was only that girl who...
Read moreSo I stopped by today cause it's my daughter's birthday tomorrow and she loves this store. I walked in there was 2 associates, one was by the register, she was busy with a customer. So I just walked around the store to see if I could find another associate cause j was looking for suggestions. So I found another associate, I think her name was Carla. The girl with the blue hair. I wanted to ask her but she had headphones on and she had this look on her face that I guess she just didn't want to be bothered. So I just, you know left because, I mean, I understand I have worked in retail before I know it's rough, but you still have to be approachable. It's customer service, so you you kinda have to have that friendly look about yourself. And i understand, having an earbud on but if i had headphones, actual over my head headphones on a sales floor at any I would be sent home. And she had full-blown headphones over her head. Like basically, don't talk to me. I don't come to the store too often. So it just it really left a very unpleasant experience in my mind and wanted to share.
Edit: Saw other comments and she keeps getting mentioned, maybe someone should talk to her. Kind of seems like retail and customer service just...
Read moreHorrible experience. The staff here are unbelievably rude. If you work in customer service, maybe you should actually provide good customer service instead of yelling at customers. My cousin and I told the cashier with the short bob, “I forgot my wallet—my sister is grabbing it.” Just a few seconds later, a tall woman with blonde hair yelled at us, saying, “Whenever you’re ready to pay, ma’am.” I had just explained to the cashier that I was waiting for my sister to bring my wallet.
When we left, we talked about what happened and realized they were giving us dirty looks as well. Also, when I was about to check out, I asked if they sold individual Calico Critters, since some stores do. While I was putting away the pack, my sister overheard someone say, “We only sell them in sets.”
I would recommend hiring people who can actually provide decent customer service. I’ve worked jobs like this before, and after reading all these reviews, it seems clear that you need staff who can communicate with each other and with customers without being rude.
