14 weeks / 100 days later...
That is how long it took Kay to replace my wedding ring lost in THEIR possession. I dropped my ring off on May 8th to have it cleaned and dipped.
On July 3, after multiple calls to the store, Aubrey, the store manager, said that my ring is taking so long because it is being made to my size and soldered.
On July 28, Aubrey calls and says my ring is in and I could come see it BEFORE they ship it out for another 2 WEEKS to be sized and soldered, after being told on 07/03 the ring was being made to my size! Aubrey also said I could pick my wedding ring up on August 15.
On August 15, I get a call from Justin, store associate, stating my wedding ring is in BUT I can't pick it up until August 16. After questioning why I cannot pick it up, he states that Aubrey is off and she is the only one that can release it to me. I ask for him to call another store manager or Aubrey, considering I have waited 14 weeks and 1 day. After no call back, I call back to the store again and ask if they were able to find another store manager come release my ring or have Aubrey go to the Alton store. Justin says he cannot do anything because he doesn’t know how to complete the paperwork needed, this has been a spiral of issues with the ring, and he doesn’t want to be in the middle of this situation and that is why I must wait for Aubrey in order to get my ring.
Also, this is my THIRD ring with Kay. The first wedding ring I got continually lost diamonds and had to be replaced with a new ring.
After numerous run arounds, multiple lies from the local store and the corporate case manager, I FINALLY have a wedding ring again.
Save yourself a ton of future issues, and...
Read moreI went in to pick up my ring which I dropped off on 10/5 and it was ready to be picked up 10/10 and was told I could not have my ring! The young girl whom I assume is newer there from the last time I had it cleaned first off didn’t understand that it was being dropped off to be sent off to be cleaned. Well, when she finally understood what I was needing she set it up to be sent off. I was told that my husband or myself could pick it up just that who ever was picking it up would just need their drivers license which I knew. Well fast forward to today 10/10 I go in to pick it up to be told I can’t have my ring by whom I am pretty sure said that I could pick it up but, couldn’t because I am not authorized to pick up. The last time it was cleaned we stated to the lady that helped us that I needed to be added as an authorized individual on the account which was clearly not done at all. I was the one who picked it up last time it was cleaned!!!! So here I am even longer without my ring because my husband works 6 days a week 12 hour days (the time frame they are open)! So who knows when I will get my ring back at this point! Other than this last week and clearly not being added as a authorized individual I have never had an issue with going there. Now I am not sure I will return or have my husband go back there for a new wedding band once I get...
Read moreThis is at least a true jewelry store with quality merchandise, people who work at Kay Jewelers are professional and helpful and for reasonable cost as well. I am very happy that they are in Alton and hope they will stay for years to come. Now when it comes to credit it does take a person working on their credit for a while to get a card. I have no bad credit and it won't matter until I have longer time for credit history and I found out that at this time that my credit cards need to be paid down so that the income to debt ratio is in balance also have no other inquiries so I also found out that most companies want a person to have comparable credit for what they want, now a wise idea is to have a savings account and checking at the same time with money saved up for some time. That is how a person gets credit card account. I for one am going to buy a home so in a few years of payments will reflect on my credit report and it will give me the item I want...
