UPDATE 7/10/24

I posted this late last Friday night 7/5/24 and got a response almost immediately from the business wanting to contact me. I emailed them on Saturday 7/6/24 as they asked and provided my information. I forgot to initially include my phone number so I emailed again 2 days ago to provide my phone number too. It’s now Wednesday and it’s crickets over here, no one has reached out. It is my opinion that they don’t really want to apologize like their comment on my review of my experience would lead one to believe, how disappointing.

I have shopped at this location for several years when I needed anything very specific that might not always be carried at other stores, however after an experience I had shopping there a few days ago I never want to give this store my business again. I went there earlier this week with my two sons ages 6 and 4. As I walked in an employee greeted me and asked what I was looking for. I told her a dear friend was undergoing chemotherapy and I wanted to buy her a few different ginger teas and some ginger chews for her severe nausea to be used in addition to her medications from her oncologist. She took me to the aisle with the ginger chews and showed me that the teas were behind me and left me to choose what I wanted to buy my friend. I selected some ginger chews, and turned around to get some herbal teas. Another Employee was there just finishing helping someone else and asked if I needed any help. I told her I thought I was ok, that I was just looking at what types of ginger teas they had and why I was buying it. She suggested some great teas and asked me if I had heard about another product that is a great antioxidant and can shrink tumors, prevent or "cure" cancer. I told her that my friend has a genetic mutation and has had cancer 8 times and I was skeptical but id love to know more if it could boost her immune system. She said they didn't carry it yet but if I followed her to a store computer that she would show me the website with all of the research on said supplement. As I was walking with her and pushing my cart with my 4 year old son who I need to mention has trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) , she casually says, I have another product to tell you about that will "fix" his downs.I thought I misunderstood her and said what? And she said it will fix his downs. I told her that Down syndrome is a genetic condition that no intervention medical or holistic can change and I wasn't interested but thank you. She then was more insistent and said "but I've seen pictures of people that took it and when they grow up they don't even look like they have it". I said no thank you I am really not interested, and explained that trisomy 21 is when you have a 3rd copy of the 21st chromosome, and that nothing can remove or change that part of DNA. I was absolutely shocked, hurt and upset. I didn't ask for anything other than nausea products for my friend, this employee felt that her unsolicited advice was needed. It implied to me that disability is bad and my son's features are "bad" and that I should want to change him. Who has the audacity to say something like this?? I was so upset that I hurried to checkout to buy my items, I was shaking and near tears when I left the store. I called to speak to a manager, I didn't remember the employees name because I was so caught off guard. After speaking to the manager to relay my experience all I got was "I'm sorry" he then asked her name and all I could give was a physical description of said employee. He was very aloof and didn't seem to really care and sounded annoyed that I had taken his time. It is my opinion that if this one employee and the manager are so uncaring and ableist this is not a place of business I will...

I love that we have a specialty grocery store close by, and this place did not disappoint! First impression walking in was quaint, clean, tidy, and "specialty" store.

What do I mean by that? As a smaller grocery store, they carry items that bigger grocery stores do not carry. I specifically went in here, looking for specialty salt, and I found it. I came in here looking for the brand "Real Salt" and I found it in different sizes! A smaller container used for table salt, and a bigger container to refill the table salt size.

They also have a specific area that offers natural products like deodorant, and essential oils. I was pleasantly surprised that they had this section, and even had someone specifically standing in this area to help you look for something specific.

But what really sold me "SOLD ME" on this store was finding milk in a glass bottle! I know that's kind of old school, but when it comes to milk, I'm all for "old-school" it should be served/it should come in a glass bottle - pretty nostalgic over here about my milk! As a little girl, the milkman used to come to the house delivering milk in a crate, and all in glass bottles. Some things are just done better in "old" ways in my opinion! And this milk, specifically STRAUS Family Creamery brand, OMG - this blew my mind! It was the BEST chocolate milk I've ever tasted. Like, EVER. Of course, it's organic. I'm an instant fan and will be coming back to this place, specifically for this...

I don’t usually do this. But I got such incredible service today, I felt compelled to come back here to post. So first, I called, they were SO helpful on the phone. When I arrived I felt like I was entering into a place filled with long lost friends. Everyone was SO nice. And willing to help! But not in a pushy way, I hate pushy people. A man helped me choose what I needed and was so full of knowledge I felt so great to get good knowledge (as I get questionable knowledge from the doctors a lot)

I went home and the products I got helped me so much! Of course health is trial and error (trust me, I know) trial and error for pcos fixes! But today I got an incredible solution.

Wow these workers must know a lot because they could all answer my questions.

Good good good experience.

Tip: know that there are many options for something, so I’d keep an open mind and if something doesn’t work, don’t get discouraged, try again!

Anyways.

Good Earth saaaavvvveeedd me today. And I still feel happy from all the positive interaction.

Good job on having a genuine business. This is so...

Great customer service, VERY friendly and HELPFUL staff, great selection. Although prices are a bit high, it's worth it because when you consume the products, you're investing in the longevity of your ONLY body! Health food is now main stream, so don't worry if you're not a hippie. Favorite product? A pair of raw salmon patties that I share with my cats. I cook mine, they have theirs raw. These photos are from Woodstock, not the store, but I think it does an excellent job of capturing the great Karma!

Great place to shop if you're in need of dairy free, gluten free, vegan, etc. specialty items. Found some stuff for a recipe I'm making for my mom who has strict diet needs due to celiacs and such. The staff seemed mostly friendly I guess. Wouldn't shop here if you don't have special dietary needs because "regular" items are kind of expensive here too.
