I visited Sinaloa Town today with my family for the first time, and I have to sayâwe were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant recently opened and has been generating a lot of buzz, so we decided to give it a try. It was packed and bustling when we arrived, but since it was Motherâs Day, that was expected.
The space itself is decently sizedânot too bigâand while the tables are a little close together, it didnât take away from the overall dining experience. Each table is greeted with a bowl of tostadas and a small bowl of house-made chili sauce, which was a nice touch and added a bold kick to the meal.
I ordered the Gobernador with Pulpo tacos: four flour tortillas loaded with grilled octopus, melted cheese, and shrimp, served with avocado and onions. The flavors were fantastic, and the chili sauce really elevated the dish. The kids went with chicken nuggets and fries, so if youâre dining with someone who isnât into seafood, there are still solid options for them.
One person in our group had the Surf and Turf tacosâsteak and grilled shrimp on flour tortillas with melted cheese and a sweet, tangy dressingâalso served with avocado and onions. They were flavorful and hearty. We also shared the Aguachile Verde (spice level 2) as an appetizer, and it ended up being my favorite dish of the night. It was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely deliciousâI highly recommend it.
The menu is simple and modest for a seafood place, focused exclusively on shrimp and octopus. But donât let that fool youâthe quality of the food more than makes up for the limited variety.
Overall, Sinaloa Town is a great addition to the local dining scene. If youâre a seafood lover or just looking to try something new, this spot is definitely worth...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, but our experience at Sinaloa Town in Lehi was disappointing.
There was no one to greet us when we arrived, so we waited awkwardly until someone came over minutes later. We received chips without salsa, which came a few minutes afterward, and the plate was a sloppy mix of tostadas and chips.
Other parties who arrived after us were served first, even though they had more people. We ordered the cĂłctel de camarones, which tasted good but barely had any shrimp. It was mostly filled with veggies as mentioned in other reviews. The waitress brought my daughterâs chicken nuggets and didnât even ask about needing any dipping sauces, after asking for ketchup she brought two nearly empty ketchup bottles which we were able to hardly get any ketchup from. When I asked for more, the waitress said sheâd check, but I had to follow up again after 10 minutes with no response.
The tacos gobernador came without the usual sauce on the side. The horchata was very disappointing and made with powder mix, not homemade. Our waitress never checked on us, and I had to ask another server to find her so we could get our check.
The food had good flavor, but the lack of shrimp, poor service, and overall disorganization made it a frustrating visit. Not sure if weâd...
Read moreOmg where do I even start. You can tell these people have never ran a restaurant before. We walk in and the place had about 3 other groups there. We began by ordering micheladas that were in their menu but they are not even licensed for liquor so Iâm not sure why they even advertise it. Then we began to order and the waitress kept getting out order wrong even after i repeated it twice. They took forever to bring our food out and they never brought our daughters Mac and cheese out so we needed up taking our food to go and going to Apollo to feed our daughter. On top of that, they have a kid in the front greeting people which is cool but the kid literally threw a coin on our table which could have fell in our food. Overall horrible experience and overpriced. We also asked for a detailed receipt because we thought $54 for 5 tacos and 3 drinks was too much and she did not want to give us one so they didnât remove the Mac and cheese that we didnât even get. Donât waste your money...
