I had been planning my sons birthday party for three months. I rented from magic jump the inflatable maze and the lite combo tropical jump house.
I wanted to love this company. They were so nice and arrived on time (2 hours prior to the event) at the park.
When they were blowing up both bounce houses they deflated like five times. They stated it was the new California generators and the sensor. I was very anxious. I had my sons entire class of 20+ kids coming. It was his big 5 year old birthday party. I expressed how nervous I was because they deflated and stopped working several times. I spoke to the manager on the phone around 10 am, and I requested they bring a new generator out. But he assured me over and over it would work. I told him I didn’t feel comfortable especially with having kids in these and them possibly deflating. He again reassured me it would work. I was very anxious. The party started at 11, all my guests were arriving and they both deflated with children in them. I was mortified. A day I should be enjoying, I spent being on the phone and stressing out. The bounce houses were both deflated. And we just stood there starring at them. I had to call back and forth mutiple times. They stayed deflated for like another hour and half.
The manager sent someone with a new generator, and they came out asap and fixed everything and were very nice.
But honestly it ruined the day for me, a day and celebration I’ll never get back. Half the party was ruined, and the other half I was so stressed out it would deflate again.
The manager did give me a $450 refund but my total was $1100. From the stress, and events and losing enjoying celebrating my sons birthday, it was not enough. Especially with it deflating when kids were inside. I will never get this day back. If they would have came when i requested it be fixed twice on the phone, the whole situation could have been avoided. But they didn’t listen and left it to chance and it ruined the entire day. A full refund should have been issued.
I will not rent from them again. The day...
Read moreWe have been renting regularly from Magic Jump Rentals since 2015. They were the best value out there and pretty easy to work with and we were usually pretty happy. There is a small print thing that's easy to miss that even when you enter a specific time for drop off and pick up, they still have like a 2 hour window, so take that into consideration. It's easy to miss, but can make a big difference and almost ruined a party once. Other than that our experience has been good. When we first started renting prices were $75 but with the returning customer discount and cash pay discount, you could get a rental for around $64. Which, again, was amazing. Obviously costs go up and by 2021 they were up to $99 but with discount it was still around $84. We did not rent last year and this year when I went to book I found they were up to $139 ($40 increase in 2 years!) PLUS they had added a $35 fee that was never previously there. Basically a $75 increase in two years!!! So they have really priced people out of the market for adding bounce houses to their parties. Sadly, we won't be able to be...
Read moreI rented the Elsa Frozen one with a slide. Had a great experience with this company. Easy to book and delivery came on time and pick up was done without any issues. The delivery guy (Eric) was super friendly and very helpful. Set everything up and secured it to the ground because it was a slightly windy day. He gave me his number so I could talk to someone if I had any questions/concerns. Bounce house was in good condition. There was a small tear in the netting. It was very clean. My daughter and her friends had a great time! I only have 2 gripes. Everything is done virtually from their website and email. It would be nice if there was a person calling or texting for confirmation. You pay a deposit to book the rental but then they charge you the rest of the amount the day before they drop it off. I don’t think they should charge you until the bounce house has been delivered (ie the service has...
