I had the New Yorker Hot sandwich on sourdough while I was there. It came with a pickle spear and peppercinni, and they had the perfect freshness, crunch, and sour to accompany the savory sandwich. The New Yorker is a simple sandwich, and honestly, a good sandwich doesn't need the most exotic ingredients anyway. Sure, I could have made a sandwich at home, but did I? No. Also, I don't have the patience to do anything more than slap some cold cuts and mayo on cold bread.
