When traveling south on the I5 or east on the 91 state route with two or more in the car utilize the Multiple Occupancy Vehicle lane also known as the Diamond Lane the entire way including Disneyland Drive has its own diamond lane off-ramp. Then stay to the left to utilize the bypass bridge and then stay to the left to utilize the leftmost toll booths for the shortest lines. When approaching from the south, Harbor Boulevard has two lanes to make a left turn West onto Ball road which also has two lanes to make a left turn South onto Disneyland drive, a traffic signal which takes over 2 minutes to completely cycle. Again, stay left. Alternatively utilize Lane 3 and continue past Disneyland drive to make a u-turn at the Shell station which helps avoid the long lines in the morning and offers a pit stop for restroom, supplies and snacks at slightly less prices than theme park gouging as well as the opportunity to top off your fuel tank for a worry-free drive home
Have $30 ready for all vehicles including motorcycles. Oversized vehicles - 15 passenger vans and larger pay more. Remember to record your vehicle's location by character(level#), column number, and row letter painted on the pillars nearby or use the find My car app provided information at the entrance at the pay booth. There's a restroom and drinking fountains at the bottom of the escalators of the Mickey and Friends parking but not Pixar Pals Southern parking structure. Avoid a walk back to the car by reading the bag inspection rules, glass bottles count as sharps, no selfie sticks, and wagons also count as oversized strollers which will be rejected. Strollers must be folded when boarding the tram and mobility devices for the disabled can load just behind the tractor via the ramp. The picnic area will be to your left and then restrooms drinking fountain and guest services ticket books will be straight ahead but it's best to have tickets pre-purchased and matched with a reservation in hand when entering the gate. Magic band Plus speeds this process immensely. Be prepared that the entire process from driving onto the property to entering the main gate can take...
Read moreWith the reopening of the Disney theme parks on April 30, this is where you want to park. This structure handles large amount of vehicles with 6 levels & has well over 10,000 parking spots. They have an electronic parking system for each aisle with red/green lights to assist in finding an empty parking space especially once the aisle has been parked. There are charging stations for electric vehicles, but they are not intended for you to park all day there & it is not exclusive parking because you own an electric vehicle or hybrid. Disabled parking is mostly on the ground floor and it fills up rapidly (like the charging stations) so if you arrived late in the day please don't take out your frustrations on the cast members. If they tell you the area is full they are not lying & they will direct you to an unmarked space. Every level has a preferred parking section so if you want to be right next to the elevator or escalator you'll pay extra for those spots. Another issue that comes up is disabled parking with multiple vehicles in a party. Because of the large amount of placards that utilize that area only the vehicle with the placard will park in that area & the other vehicles will park as directed. Please take that into consideration. The cast members that work the structure & tolls are good at there roles & do their best to accommodate your requests. On busy days everyone has the same request so it is not there fault if they can not assist you with a request from a previous visit. Best advice is get there as...
Read moreI miss the days of old when you could park right underneath the Monorail to pump you up for your day at Disneyland! But... I guess we'll have to settle for this new, monstrous parking garage that offers some great views of Disneyland's surrounding areas. For the most part, this parking structure is pretty well organized (they did the best with what they had), but it can get a little confusing to people visiting for the first time, so PAY ATTENTION TO THE CONES AND FOLLOW THEM, PLEASE! I don't mean to yell, but how frustrating is it, when you're ready for a nice, relaxing day at the Parks, to get behind somebody who doesn't know their way around? You feelin' me? I thought so. The last time I had the opportunity to grace this parking garage with my presence, I got stuck behind a family who had to stop and ask every parking garage attendant where he should go. Give me a break! I just wanted to smash the front-end of my car into theirs! Okay, that's not so Christian like, so I left it at a horn honking, while raising up the windows so I could yell without anyone hearing me (the wife didn't like that). :-) Also, people seem to forget where they park so you'll hear car alarms going off every five seconds during rush hour. My tip: READ THE POLE YOU PARKED NEXT TO AND JOT DOWN THE CHARACTER AND THE LANE NUMBER! This will definitely help the headaches I sometimes get from waiting in line for the tram after 12 hours of walking around both Parks.
Hey, but what can I say... I...
