DO NOT TAKE YOUR CONSOLES HERE FOR REPAIR!! Back in March, my HDMI went out on my Xbox Series X. Batteries plus advertised that they repaired them and it was the closest place to me. I brought the console to them and they replaced the port but a month later it wasnât working again and the port was extremely loose behind the cover. I brought it back to them and now theyâre telling me that the location where the port solders to the motherboard is broken so now I need the motherboard repaired. Donât see how this was on me considering I brought the console home, set it in one spot and hooked it up. I never touched it again until it stopped working and I had to bring it back. But they still blamed the newfound issue on me and not only would they not refund me the $175 I paid to have it repaired the first time, but now they want to charge me an additional $129 to fix this issue. Well after escalating this issue they agree to try and fix it at no extra charge. Weâre now in July and not once did they reach out to me to let me know what was going on. If I called to check on it, it was still sitting in pieces and they claimed they were waiting on a part. I then got into contact with the owner of this location and he acts like he has no idea whatâs going on and says heâll figure it out and get back in touch with me. The Clemson store I originally dropped it off with then calls me and told me to come pick it up and that they consider it non-repairable now and theyâll just refund me the $175 I paid. Thatâd be great if they hadnât already scraped my motherboard and butchered it to the point to where no other shop wants to touch it. They tried treating me like an idiot and making me think that this newfound issue wasnât their fault but obviously they broke something in the midst of the first repair and they donât want to own up to it. This store is ran by a bunch of crooks and they will screw you over in a heart beat. I wouldnât trust them to change a battery in my key fob at this point. Please just pay the extra money and take your devices elsewhere to a reputable shop. Although this place advertises that they do repairs. They have no clue what...
Read moreLet me just start by saying I had absolutely no issues with my phone besides the lcd repair needed prior to bringing it in to batteries plus. In January of 2025 I brought my phone in for a lcd screen repair which was done by Ivan. Shortly after picking it up it went completely black then it was brought back and âfixedâ after that the screen just stopped working all together while you could see the screen but not touch it and it register. The following day I brought it back and Ivan was there again he looked and it fixed it after about 30 minutes, after I leave I notice my phone is running really hot and dying fast and half of the screen wouldnât work. I bring it in the following day and talk to some girl there who was pretty condescending and just rudely dismissive. She told me that I needed a new battery and my phone was too old. I reached out to the customer service number and escalated a complaint seeing as nothing was wrong with my phone before hand. I go up there two days after that and speak to Allen which he was very helpful and nice he fixed my battery free of charge and gave me a new screen. However my phone just randomly stops working again , Face ID doesnât work either and I go back up there to the same girl from before who told me thereâs nothing more they can do and I should just buy a new phone. I have to reset my phone whenever the screen stops working because thatâs the best solution she could give me. Im just not happy with how she treated me more like a problem and just wasnât helpful in the slightest. Allen being nice and helpful was the only reason I gave 4 stars. Just really put a bad taste in my mouth being told to buy a new phone whenever the nothing thatâs happening now was happening prior to bringing it in for lcd...
Read moreOn New Yearâs Day after calling AAA when my car would not start, I was told I needed a new battery. So get thisâŚAAA asked me where the battery was located! It happens to be in the trunk, but imagine my surprise when they asked me! No AAA service truck in my area had the battery replacement needed for my Mercedes S430 even though I had given all the necessary information to dispatch. They told me they would order it and it would be available in 5 days. Even though it would take some time, I was interested in saving $ switching out the AAA battery. Fortunately, a friend loaned me a car to use to get back & forth to work. On the day the battery was supposed to come in, i set aside a two hour window from work & again called AAA. They sent out a guy who first of all, did not have the battery needed, nor the confidence to install it. My replacement battery was on another truck which was heading to the shop 30 minutes away due to transmission issues. So, the guy heads back to the shop to retrieve my battery. Fast forward an hour and 15 minutes. He hooks up the memory saver unit to my car which tells him not to proceed in changing out the battery. He calls another guy who tells him that he can just jump start my car, and change the battery with the engine running in order to save the computer memory. I think to myself that this is dangerous & Iâm out of time at this point. The friend that loaned me the car tells me to forget AAA & call Batteries Plus Bulbs. I call, explain the issue & an appointment is set up. Michael arrived 5 minutes before the appointment and literally had my battery replaced within 10 minutes. He was very professional and thorough. I regret I didnât call Batteries Plus...
