First of all, I would like to say that this was the general managers weekend off and she did contact me by phone when I checked out which I really appreciate it. All of the reviews I left have nothing to do with her. Every bad review I left had absolutely everything to do with the staff and the way that they treated me and gave my personal information out over the telephone which is not allowed whatsoever and hopefully this will be addressed. I only stay at IHG hotels for a reason and I just don’t think I’m going to be doing that anymore. I believe I have eight more nights until I’m a platinum member? The hotel staff was banging on my door before 11 o’clock stating that they needed me to get out of the room immediately and of course I went into defense mode and said that I was a gold member and I had an extended check out. I know different hotels have different rules but I was told that my check out would be 12 o’clock. The front desk then began to blow my phone up in the room and said we need you out of there right away that we do not offer extend a check out that this hotel and I have replied with well that’s not what I was told but I’m almost done and I’ve cleaned up all of my belongings, I just have the bathroom left to pack. I took the trash out for the housekeepers and made sure everything was clean for them. About 1140 I was literally Rolling up my luggage out of the door and a guy walked up to me that was an employee and stated that I needed to leave the room immediately like I had done something wrong. It was just the worst experience I have ever had and I have never been treated this way at a hotel room in my whole life. That staff needs some extra quality training and like I said if they hate their job that bad then they need to find another one because word-of-mouth is the biggest source of marketing and I’m going to make sure that my word-of-mouth is a source of marketing for this hotel. It was absolutely terrible. however, the manager did called me like I said and she was very sweet and agreed with everything I said and offered me 10,000 points on my account which was very nice of her. Honestly though, all of the trouble I went through, 10,000 points isn’t even worth the trouble. I would just make sure to never stay at this hotel again. It was the worst experience in my life and I felt so humiliated. I was scared to walk down and ask for anything! I asked for a towel at one point and she rolled her eyes and walked off and never even brought me a towel so I just went back up to my room. Hopefully you guys can get this hotel under control with the employees attitudes and the way they treat people. 10,000 bonus points is not enough to even pay for a free room elsewhere. If you look at my profile, you will see that I purchased points a lot and I stay with you guys a lot so I know how much they cost. But anyway, that’s all I have to say and if anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to call me at...
Read moreStayed the week for a business trip. This is not my first time at this hotel. Upon arrival Sunday night was given a dirty room. The towels were laid out and bed was made but the floors were filthy and had hair from last guest in the room. Then checked the bed sheets which also had some hair. I got checked into a different, cleaner room without any problems. If this was all that happened this week I would not bother leaving a review, in fact if this was all that had happened I would not mind staying at this hotel again either as these things tend to happen. The second day I left the do not clean sign in my door key slot. When I returned to my room I noticed an electronic item and its charging case (both of which were in two different locations in my bedroom) missing from my belongings. I searched the room, I searched my personal belongings, I even invited the night manager to assist me in my search. (By the way, the night manager, John, was one of the only polite individuals throughout this entire exchange) he notified the management team and they "tried" to investigate the problem by asking housekeeping if anyone has seen this. I asked for an electronic key log of people coming and going and they do not have this system in place. I must admit that it is my own fault for not properly hiding my electronics, thinking that a do not clean sign would suffice to tell someone to not enter my room- which by the way, another member of the management team was quick to assure me that housekeeping are told not to enter into rooms with do not disturb signs. Gee. Thanks. Overall, I will do a better job of protecting my valuables, will probably not return to this hotel. The entire experience leaves a bitter taste...
Read moreRoom was clean, a bit on the small side for the price. But that is the only reason it gets the second star, everything else was unacceptable.
Took 20 minutes for the bathtub to drain, toilet was extremely weak, so it took 3 flushes every single time just to get back clear water. No microwave as advertised. Front desk was extremely unhelpful. I waited for 10 minutes just to check in, as he had a sign stating he would be right back. He then hurried through the check in process (including asking me things a hotel has never asked me, like my full address). He asked for my card, and I informed him I had already paid online. He said it was for incidentals, but didn't disclose how much was being put on hold. Never gave me any info about the place. No wifi info, no checkout time info, no info on breakfast, nothing. He didn't even explain where my room was, and the best way to get to it, and even 2 star hotels do that. The side door doesn't work, so I had to park right by the side door (that says you can enter as long as you have your room key), but it wasn't in service, so we had to carry everything all the way to the front and try and find the elevators that he didn't bother explaining the location of. The outlets that are on the lamp did not work, had to charge my phone in the bathroom, since that was the closest outlet that worked.
I would have been better off at plenty of other places in Anderson, for a fraction of the cost. I decided to splurge for a more pricey hotel in the area, and was let down bad. Will never stay here again, luckily there are plenty of other options in Anderson that...
