When I lived in Anderson this was my go-to spot. I was a regular customer for years, I used to love this place. I have never had issues until last night. š© Yesterday after my local hibachi place wasnāt accepting cards, I decided to make the 30min+ drive for Mishima. I called ahead to make sure they were accepting cards, and let the waitress know that I would call back when I got closer to actually place the order as I was driving from out of town. The second time I called (to place the order) I was placed āon holdā and the call was disconnected. I called back a third time and was then placed on hold again. I held for 16 minutes until I pulled into the parking lot. I disconnected the phone, walked inside to two girls behind the counter on their cell phones. š only a few tables occupied in the building, they werenāt busy. I placed my to go and was informed it would be a 30+ min wait. (As someone in the food industry myself, I still tipped them $5 because Iām not a POS.) At this point I had driven all the way there so I decided to wait for said food. When I arrived home to eat, I noticed I received carrots when I specifically requested no carrots. IMO, cleanliness speaks volumes about the level of the care a owner, management and staff of an business. Major kudos to the owner/management because they have done an outstanding job training their staff on the importance of first visual impression.
Our waitress greeted us with a smile, was very polite and attentive. Our food arrived to our table approximately ten minutes after placing our order and the food was freshly cooked to perfection. I ordered steak and shrimp and my wife ordered chicken. Both agreed that our food was delicious! From price point to portion ration, there's not many eateries in Anderson that can compete.
Within the past several weeks, I've been back three times. The cleanliness, waitress politeness and attentiveness , portions and quality remains the same. My multiple visits confirm that my first experience is the standard set by the owner and management. Mishima...

She ordered the teriyaki vegetables with noodles instead of rice. I got hibachi chicken and shrimp. She got two spring rolls. She got two egg rolls. When the food came out, she had rice instead of noodles. So we got hold of our waiter and he brought back maybe 7 noodles SWIMMING in sauce.
