My family and I recently moved here I have been patronizing Gabes and Rugged Warehouse for years. I am appalled at the customer service that we received today at the Anderson, Indiana location. An employee yelled at our 11 year old daughter bc mu daughter thought that a register was closed. We proceeded to tell Ariel Waters that our daughter is 11 and she didn’t know, she then said “she didn’t know she was 11”. Regardless of a customer age, disrespect is not called for. We decided to wait for another employee bc we do not have to be subjected to disrespect. We have been to Gabes and Rugged Warehouses across the U.S and has never been disrespected this way. While we were checking out this employee yelled across the register “my name is Ariel Waters you can look me up on Facebook”. Remind you this employee was helping a customer at this time. How is this behavior acceptable? . The manager Aaron came up to the counter and said absolutely nothing, how is this individual in management? Ariel Waters the employee should have been addressed. Awesome discounted attire here, but customer service sucks. My family and I should have never been treated this way! Read moreIf you go in towards closing time I feel the staff is very immature showing they are annoyed that you've come in so late and keep getting on the. Overhead speaker every 5 minutes telling you when they close and open next . And intentionally staying on speaker making it squeal loud and hurt your ears trying to rush u outta there. Also not very friendly either. Well that is the night shift because the day shift staff is very nice and helpful . Update I went into Gabe's last night and the staff seemed more friendly and helpful. They only got on the overhead speaker maybe 3 times and didn't stay on it or keeping the mic engaged to make it shriek.. Thank you for that it was very much appreciated. I received an email last week stating that Gabe’s was going to start carrying the same product from old time pottery. The email gave this address and said to check it out.
I will go on to say how disappointed I am once again. The entire store was completely trashed. I have been in stores following a black Friday sale that was cleaner than this one.
