Updated: 12/30/22 Mr. Schneider, Please do not assume that I requested anything special. Before I placed my order, I asked if my order could be delivered before Thanksgiving. I was told that this date would not be a problem, and we could set the actual delivery date later. The offer to set the delivery date later came from your sales person and was not a request made by me. Now it seems that this offer was only made to placate me, and your sales person had no intention of following through on it.
I visited Warners' Stellian on October 15, 2022. I met with the sales person and purchased six appliances: washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave, and refrigerator. I asked if it was realistic to have them delivered before Thanksgiving. He checked his computer and assured me it wouldn't be any problem. We agreed to set a temporary installation date of November 23rd. When they got the appliances in, he would call me, and we would set the actual delivery date. I went home and waited for the call.
That call came on November 17th. The same sales person told me my appliances would be delivered on November 23rd as previously agreed. I asked about setting another date like we had discussed, and he told me my stove wouldn't be in their warehouse until Monday the 21st. I asked if I could at least have an installation time early on Wednesday morning, and the sales person told me that since my order was so large, the installers would likely start with mine first thing in the morning. I needed to wait for their text message to get the final time so I waited.
That text came on the afternoon of November 22nd. My delivery time was set for sometime between noon and 3:00 PM on Wednesday the 23rd. This had to be close to the very last time slot on the very last day before Thanksgiving, and it was the only time slot I was ever offered. When I called the same sales person back to ask about the delivery time, I was told the installers had to complete some small orders first, so they should be able to get started on my install at noon, or they could even be a little early. And then I got his condescending, "Don't worry, we'll take care of you" speech twice before I hung up.
The installers showed up just before 1:00 PM, so not exactly early. They weren't out of my house until 4:00 PM. This was only two hours short of the minimum they were required to do in writing. Don't believe anything these sales people say. If it isn't written down, no matter what they've told you, it's just not going to happen.
The Warners' Stellian sales person told me whatever he thought I wanted to hear to close or keep the sale. Despite what he previously offered, there was no opportunity to set a delivery date or even a delivery time that worked for me. Every text and email message from Warners' Stellian about their delivery and installation made it clear they wouldn't change their schedule. If I needed to reschedule from the only time slot I was offered, there would be additional fees.
If the sales person had been honest about delivery time frames on the day I placed my order, or the day he called, I would have asked to move the delivery after Thanksgiving, and I would have been okay with that. I didn't appreciate being pushed into a single delivery date and time that only worked for Warners' Stellian. The "We'll take care of you" speeches after it was already too late to do anything else were particularly offensive. He wasn't honest and I don't like supporting businesses with sales staff that are...
Read moreJust don’t. They were super fantastic and helpful when I was purchasing their product, but a year later after spending quite a lot of money on a Bosch dishwasher it started to leak. I had purchased the warranty when I purchased the dishwasher so I was pretty confident that the issue would be resolved. Instead, they sent out a service man that was 2 1/2 hours late and took all of 10 minutes to look at my dishwasher. He told me he believed a knife punctured the tub and it would cost more to repair it than to purchase a new one. So he left repairing nothing and leaving me with a leaking dishwasher for the last 2 months. After two months of trying to get an answer from the warranty company on how they were going to remedy the situation they finally told me punctures were not covered, and therefore they would not be repairing or replacing my one year-old dishwasher.
I can guarantee you, we’re not stabbing the inside of our dishwasher so In my opinion, if a dishwasher is unable handle washing the dishes it was intended to wash in the first place, then it seems like the products Warner Stellian is selling are substandard at best and they obviously do not stand behind their products.
Buyer beware and best of luck with that warranty.
Update 8/24
As you can see below Warners Stellian did reach out to me and I had high hopes that a solution would be offered. Instead, I waited 3 weeks from the time I was told I would be hearing something, and when I finally took the initiative and reached out for some answers was told that they did in fact feel my dishwasher was punctured with a knife and it would not be covered by the insurance I purchased. No offers to replace or repair. Just out the money I spent only 1 year ago, a working dishwasher, and my time.
I stand by everything I said above. Warners Stellian does NOT stand behind the products they are selling, their customer service is abysmal, and I will go anywhere...
Read moreDon’t buy or expect service from the Ankeny IA location. Here’s why…Bought Viking range from WS and was installed 5 months ago after 2 months of sales person lying about the range delivery. I won’t get into all the details but bottom line is he lied to me about the status of my delivery multiple times and then quit or was fired. The operations manager did a poor job of cleaning up the mess and honestly didn’t act like it was his responsibility to give me a clear picture on when I would get my range even after 8 weeks of waiting. Now door won’t close after 5 months with a new Viking range so I call WS. Since I didn’t waste money on their extended warranty they tell me I have to call Viking for warranty coverage. I called Viking and they say WS should know the coverage they sold it and gave me the warranty code and tell me to call WS, tell me they’re sending code to WS and they will schedule repair. I called WS and they tell me they won’t repair it I have to go thru Viking. I say no Viking said it’s covered and gave me the code and said you - WS would repair it. At this point I’m as irate at their lack of accountability in service as I was with the dishonest sales dept and head of operations when I bought it. I make them call Viking and find out who will service and Viking finds another local company who I talk to and they are happy to service this under warranty. Seriously this is just horrible customers support across my entire experience. I wish I had another channel to voice my frustration beyond Google but at least I...
