From a former worker standpoint, this is an amazing place that is bigger than the University itself, I think. I have never seen such a place like that. I swear there is only one place that Ive seen and that is a place in Utah. The coming together of people to execute something is phenomenal-an energy I have never seen before. Their dedication, their drive, and enthusiasm is something to behold.
I think it comes from the leadership of Ryan and Ronatta who are such very cool people who sets the tone for the overall place. I will never forget the kindness of so many people in this place that I don't know even their names but I can only remember their faces. In addition, I will never forget the kindness of Shrina and Sarah who always give me a plate of food. Thank you. I swear life has been unkind to me in so many instances. I surely remember this act of kindness.
Its a joyous place too that vibrates everywhere! Peoples dedication, their smiling faces, its hard to see that there wouldn't be a day you don't find someone smiling at you, finding something to laugh about, joke around while passionately carried out what is expected on their behalf and amazingly, its still on time! lol. This is something truly beautiful! I think this what sets apart North Quad from an earlier experiences in South Quard, although they are both unique in their own ways and they can't be compared is that, North Quard is a little step down from the formality and rigidness of its bigger brother yet delivers a product in a fun way lol
I will never forget the energy, dedication, passion and enthusiasm of the student population which is something to behold. Their ability to predict what is to come next after a job is something to behold! Its a puzzle that just fall right into their proper places. People such as Sophie, Garland, Amie, Date, Kervin, the smiling faces of Ketty and so many others that I could only remember them by their faces. I could not be more thankful for the help I have received from these people.
It feels like home too. I swear there have been many places I've been that I don't know whether I feel I am welcomed over there or not. Have I ever feel I was welcomed or North Quad is home for me? Yes, it certainly did. I will never forget a day, we were ask to collect the paper dishes because the machine was broken and there was this student who welcomed me and say ''we appreciated you here''. I feel welcomed. I swear there are many instances life throws at me that I don't feel welcome at all. I will surely remembers this.
If theres a place I will remember about Michigan, I will certainly remember North Quart-their dedication and an unsurpassable energy. Its bringing fun and joy and blend it with time management and hard working to...
Read moreOverall an amazing place to live as an undergraduate at U of M. It is about 5-10 minutes away from the diag on foot and is very close to the stores and restaurants on State Street and East Liberty. The dorm has its own dinning hall and has very many places to study. Housing options range from single rooms with a bathroom that is shared with 2-3 other students, to 5 person suites with personal bathrooms. North Quad is home to the Max Kade House and the Global Scholars Program. Students that live here are mainly upperclassmen...
Read moreUsed to eat at the dining hall all the time in undergrad. Pretty good food. They train their staff well and they do their best to create a diverse, yet inclusive menu- so those with allergies don't feel outcast by having to eat something different from everyone else. Their staff is also really nice about answering questions or doing custom stuff, if time is permitting. My ex worked there and she said they did an incredible job with being...
