Dollar General — Local services in Archdale

This DG is in great need of management and good employees. I was in the Archdale location on Wednesday May 24th to pick up only a couple items. There was only the older gentlemen with a beard stocking and one other female which was on register in the whole store. The female did not have on her name tag, but has jet black hair, wears glasses and a few pearsings. She was extremely slow, at one time there were 11 people waiting in line to check out and all we could hear was her complaining. She was telling everyone this was a side job for her that she was a police officer for 13 years. When there was only one person in front of me she told her to wait she had to get chance. I looked at my watch (because I had been waiting a very long time) and it took her 8 minutes to get coin from the safe and get it unwrapped. I noticed a few customers just sitting their items down and walking out. Plus she complained about the company, the assistant manager, not being paid enough to put up with what she does there and stated she was about to walk out like the others had and they wouldn't have a "damn" key holder. I have worked in management and and retail for many years so I just want to say with employee of attitudes such as this store has had for the last year or so it's no wonder they have so much turn over in management and employees. The store is in a great location and I feel has potential but a district manager really needs to look into this location for better employees. It has always been lacking in this area.

I love the employee that was there today but usually like all Dollar general stores and the employees come and go like the rain! I do like this store cause it's not all junked up like a lot of them when the truck comes and delivers they work hard and get it put out instead of letting it sit around in the aisles and when they finally finish I get another truck so this is one of my favorite Dollar general stores. I used to go to the store and Thomasville by the hospital but it's just horrible now the new management is offly hateful and the store is always junkie and I know it's possible to keep that store clean because it was like that with the woman who opened it and it stayed that way for a long time. anyways the store that the review is over is great I would say hit it up anytime you can and if you no way to get the road fixed where you can pull out and go in either direction it would be even better and I know that Dollar general has no control over that so that has no effect on my ratings the only reason it didnt get five stars is because 75% of the time there is only one person working and it's hard to get help and I do not blame the employee I blame the company for not allowing her/him to have more help or not giving the manager of the hours to allow two people in the store which is crazy in my book to not have two people in any store one person is dangerous. sorry about this if there's anything off I'm dictating it through my phone and not typing it and sometimes I talk a...

How could it be okay not to enforce to wear a mask?!!!! I asked the store manager and the lady who was working the counter why are they not enforcing people to wear a mask?! I was told they don’t enforce cause arguments and they do not want to deal with people when it comes to wear a mask!
