DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! WARNING: MOLD DETECTED BY MYSELF AND NUMEROUS GUESTS. STAFF REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING! My mother and I checked into this hotel on Oct. 28th. We left within 15 minutes as the hotel was filthy and we were greeted by an overwhelming smell of mold in our room. The front desk was notified promptly and I was told to call back the next day to speak with the manager to get a refund. I have had 5 phone conversations and numerous emails since that evening and they have refused to give me my money back or even acknowledge that my claim was real. The staff has blatantly tried to cover up that I reported mold at all. Upon further investigation, it became apparent by other's reviews that mold/must/mildew have been reported, both in sight and smell, on numerous occasions! The staff refused to acknowledge these claims and will keep your money for an uninhabitable and unsafe room. I spent weeks trying to resolve this to no avail. Please heed my warning and do not stay here under any circumstances. It is absolutely filthy and a public health hazard with staff who will stop at nothing to try to deny the truth.
Edited to respond to General Manager’s response. I want to be very clear. I stated that there was a moldy smell in our room IMMEDIATELY. This happened within the first 15 minutes of arriving. No alternative accommodations were offered, nor did Jordan seem surprised by our claims at all. I also mentioned the issue of a moldy smell in all five calls since and in every email I sent. You and your staff have made up the story about me booking the “wrong hotel” which I addressed your concerns regarding that with logic and factual, hard evidence to back that this was not the case. Stop lying to your guests and covering up that you likely have a serious mold problem. Just look at the countless other reviews that back my same claim!
I don’t care what your policies are because NONE of those things were done in this situation which only attests to the poor management overall and not my integrity. Yet still somehow because these supposed protocols were not enacted by YOUR staff… I am the liar?? My guess is since Jordan didn’t follow protocol, that is his motive for lying to cover his own butt. And the fact that this all rests on his false testament in the first place is blasphemy. I told you to check the cameras. I am that confident in what transpired that night. How can you still possibly call me a liar when your own staff didn’t follow any of the intended protocol and is lying to you?
Furthermore, my mother’s testimony that you also read, matches mine. That’s two against one for what really happened that night out of who was there. Yet you still perpetuate your false narrative to hide the truth.
You made it very clear yesterday that you had no intention of assisting further in this and that there was “nothing you could do” and your “hands were tied”. Additionally, it has been over two and a half weeks of being given the runaround. You had plenty of time to settle this with me and you didn’t. That is your fault and not due to a lack of trying on my end.
Not surprised of your reported “findings” with the room. Nothing about what you folks have done or said to date has been truthful. Of course you would continue to try to cover this up.
Trust me when I say that I would not have spent countless hours trying to resolve this, if there wasn’t a moldy odor in that room. I promise you that no one is as sorry as I am with how this all turned out.
I have never dealt with such irrational behavior from a hospitality service nor have I been treated so poorly. I was excited to give your hotel a try and be significantly closer to market this go around. Instead, we had to uproot our evening to find safe lodging when it was already past 8pm, we had no car, we had not eaten dinner yet, and we had to go 20 minutes further from market. But sure I left because I booked the wrong hotel. After all, Jordan’s word is the gospel here... (Insert...
Read moreIt wasn't one particular thing. I've worked in hospitality all my life and one or two things could be understandable, no one can be perfect 100% of the time 24/7/365. That said, I was there for one full week and can say that what I observed were daily patterns and a way of life. Someone from corporate needs to give a little refresher on standards. Basic standards. 1. The location didn't feel that safe - interesting people hanging out in halls and in parking lots every evening I would come home. 2. There was a fire alarm and NO staff were trained in how to get guests out or what the procedure was. We guests wandered out, not sure what was going on, where to go, etc. Every staff member there needs to be able to greet and direct guests out away from the building when a fire alarm goes off and be able to explain the procedure. 3. There was never anyone - and I mean ever - at that front desk. On check in at 7pm at night; in the mornings when I left; the times I had to go to the desk I stood there and waited and waited and waited. I gave them time to see if maybe they were in the restroom, but no one ever came out. I saw purses and water bottles , but where were they?! Only one staff member (front desk) was repeatedly at the front desk in the evenings when I would come back (a male) between 5 and 8pm. I understand they have to step away from the desk for various things, but what about a sign "Be right back" or a bell for guests to tap? Basics. 4). Not only did staff gather at the front entrance to the lobby for their cigarette breaks, but sat on the ground and on curbs- right there at main entrance. Extremely tacky and not hospitable. Quality Inn brand may be a budget brand, but it's not ghetto. Create a place in the back with a picnic bench and a little privacy wall (and shelter for when it rains) where your staff can go smoke out of guest view - and for God's sake, please don't let them gather in front lobby entrance (outside) and sit on the curb. It's ghetto and is not your brand. 5). Staff was seen parking in the reserved "Choice Member" parking spots on more than one occasion.
Every staff member was pleasant when I interacted. I truly believe much of this is a training opportunity. They have wonderful warmth and they can be great assets in your brand if some training and reminders are implemented. The property is a bit dated, the breakfast Ok, but definitely tolerable for a budget hotel. After being there 5 days and coming and going all hours, I feel my input on what I observed should be solid material for follow up with your staff. Compliment them on their warmth and desire to be of service. Whenever I interacted with each of them, they were friendly and warm- that is to...

Quality Inn Review
I noticed the lack of reviews for this hotel and felt compelled to write one regarding my recent stay at this hotel. First and foremost, we paid for two night at this hotel and to say the least it was the worst experience ever. Usually, I do not leave reviews but this level of service and lack of care for customers is unmatched. The first day we had to get switched to the last available room they had due to the room being in a very unacceptable condition. The AC unit did not work at all and as the temperature drops this is so disappointing. In addition, the bathroom to clogged so we decided to try and call the front desk. To my surprise, the phone was very dusty and was not even connected. I was traveling with women and this was so unsafe as anything could happen and we wouldn’t even have a working phone to call and notify someone. let’s not forget that the phone was very dusty and can cause allergies and bring sickness. They don’t care about customers what so ever.
We spoke with the lady and she moved us into another room. We tested the AC and it worked but when we left and came back to the room later that day it was not working anymore and the room got very hot! I didn’t even sleep in the bedding because i noticed hair all over the sheets which made me so uncomfortable. Due to it being late that I got back from the event, I did not bother at that moment to notify the front desk. This was a mistake later on.
The next morning, there was a spider on the ceiling and then we found a centipede on our sheets. From this, I made it my mission to go and let them know because I was very uncomfortable and just disgusted with this level of service. I immediately packed up my belongings and left out to the front. When i spoke to them they said the manager was unavailable and to send an email. The manager, Amy, response is similar to her replies to the above reviews. Her tone is very condescending and she invalidates customers experiences with no regards. She felt the need to mention and give me references on what type of bug was on the sheets which was uncalled for ,and does not justify the fact that housekeeping is not maintaining rooms nor staff ensuring the rooms are adequate before having guest stay. I would not recommend staying her whatsoever. As the previous review stated, it is so much worth spending the extra money where the staff care about the well being of those who are paying their hard earn money to stay. I wouldn’t pay for a homeless person to even stay here due to the lack of “ QUALITY” of the place.
The place is also very outdated and needs a...
