You basically robbed me this time but never again sales associate. I took 5 storage bins full of mostly brand name clothing and shoes (Nike, Adidas, Jeffery Campbell, Derek Lam, etc). The associate pulled 51 items from all 5 storage bins. She offered either a $4??.?? Credit or $384.?? in Cash. I chose cash, but when I started to question her about how much she was offering me for certain items. She became agitated and proceeded to remove a few items from the computer after telling me I would receive $5 for a brand new pair of brand name shoes. I declined and pulled three of the items out. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until after I had signed the pad and received the funds, that she only gave me $284.?? but ended up keeping the items I was questioning her about and meant to remove from the counter. Yes, that was on me not paying full attention. Now, I see why you were eager to assist in helping me carry my bins back to my vehicle. You removed over a $1000 (Retail) of mostly brand new brand name merchandise from all 5 bins. I am sure you probably thought you hit the jackpot with this customer, and you did. Stay focused when trading here. I know you can offer more for certain items, especially when they are new. You researched the value and knew exactly what every item was worth. Majority of what you selected had tags attached. Stop trying to get over on certain people because you think you can or think they don't know better. I can assure you some folk are not treated in...
Read moreI called ahead of time to ask if I could bring clothes by that I gave a discription of over the phone to sell and they said yes we are accepting athletic clothes. So, being my first time at this store I am new to the area. I walk in with my clothes in a bag and I don't get a hello or nothing just a we can't take your clothes without a bin. So I politely asked the reason and she said so they don't trip on the bags. I just called platos closet and uptown cheepskate and they are not this difficult and will accept in a bag. So I went to uptown cheapskate and they were so nice and friendly. I wish clothes mentor would treat new customers a little better. A suggestion to management...buy bins and stack them in your store if you want organization and put people's clothes that are selling them to you in them like when going through the airport. Also, you never know if a secret shopper is coming in to visit you or a new customer so you should be nice to everyone and be helpful or tell them to bring a bin next time. After all if people didn't bring in clothes to sell to you, you would not have a business and your staff that turn people away wouldn't have a job. Just something to think about. Your competitors will take...
Read moreUpdated: 7/21/2021: I'm a bit disappointed today. Rushed here after work and walked in for a sell at 7:10pm and they said "sorry, we have a lot to do at the end of the day before closing. We normally stop buying at 7." I completely understand and respect store hours but this is not posted anywhere and there were at least 2 other workers just standing around so not sure why they were not willing to look at the few items I brought in to sell today. They told me I can leave the items there and pick up tomorrow but I don't trust it and I am familiar with the policy that states that if I can't get there to pick up tomorrow, they get to keep the items for free. NOT HAPPENING! I'm pretty disappointed bc this policy of ending buys early did not seem legit. The way she said it made it seem like they just didn't want my items/to work. There is still 50 minutes left before the store closes so I really don't understand.
Very very clean and excellent customer service! I went there to sell and it was an...
