John D., from start to finish, made my first Rolex buying experience unforgettable and I can’t review him highly enough. I registered with the store and was put in touch with John. I’m a new buyer and a friend of mine is a repeat customer at Tourneau at this specific location, and he assured me I could trust purchasing from the store, so I began the process. John D. would send me updates on what came available in the store and ultimately came in early to the store on his day off to make this happen for me due to my circumstances of having limited time to purchase with awarded corporate funds. As I mentioned, I arrived early to the store before they opened— I let John know that I had breakfast next door— John D. came to meet me at the Ritz— sat down with me in a comfortable place, and had an intentional conversation about the experience we would share that day. John is an amazing guy— he loves his family and he LOVES what he does. He has a passion for watches, vintage watches, watchmaking— truly an expert and master of the craft of managing, handling and selling watches. John spent about 4 hours with me. I was very nervous to say the least, as I don’t typically spend money this way, and this purchase opportunity was awarded to me by my employer (amazing, I know!). I’m practical and barely even wear jewelry to begin with. John and the team fulfilled my request for some champagne— I needed it. John took me through the available inventory, both new and Rolex Certified CPO. I wanted the watch to be timeless, iconic, and match my personality. None of the new models suited me IMO, and as John continued to show me the CPO stock- he and I both knew that the black submariner was ā€œthe one,ā€ but did continue to try others to be sure. I have to reiterate— John was EXTREMELY patient with me. While this was gifted money, it felt like my own (because it was earned), and if you’re reading these reviews, you know that buying these timepieces is a huge decision! I deliberated, pressed about CPO vs. new, was pretty anxious to pull the trigger … but John stayed extremely present with me— not only unfazed, but genuinely happy and excited for me through my ups and downs. He stayed calm and honest, and kept me on track (which is generally almost impossible). Ultimately, with John D’s steadfast support, thoughtful consideration, careful and detailed explanations and knowledge, above and beyond customer service start to finish, and genuine passion for what he does— we landed on the black on black Submariner. It is perfect for me and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase, even if I’m still getting used to the magnitude of it. As a sales professional, I can say that John D is the real deal. He is honest and he wants you to be happy. He’s extremely professional while making you feel like your experience is the most important thing in the world to him. He’s okay with the long game— he’s played it for many years, but he can also find you something perfect if you’re in a time crunch for any reason, like I was— which in this market is crazy, and valuable! John D. Is a wonderful man. Passionate, patient, kind, knowledgeable and has an enormous heart! At least he sold me on those things šŸ˜‚. Don’t hesitate to buy from John. When I have more time and funds, I’ll be back for another timepiece for a family member. THANK YOU, JOHN D! I know I was very deliberative and you stayed the course on your day off. You made my Rolex experience unforgettable and all of my watch head friends are so happy for me! And I’m happy too! Thank you to John and all of the staff at Tourneau. I’ll be back to review in the coming weeks in case anything comes up, and I’m sure I’ll have more positive notes to add.

I was traveling for work and made a point to get to Arlington early to visit Tourneau as I have been a customer for many years. I purchased my Milgauss here and have had it serviced here. I have been on a 3 year journey to find my dream retirement watch, the GMT II in Steel & Rose Gold (aka: "Root Beer"). I entered the store & the young man told me they did not have a new one available (of course) nor did they have an exhibition model available. He asked me to step to a quiet corner of the store to scan a QR code & asked me to fill out the form. I advised I have been a customer for many years and wanted to ask some questions on how to obtain this watch. He then told me they had a used CPO 2018 available for purchase. Immediately, I was interested. He, again, asked me to fill out said form. I told him I just wanted to see the watch, which seemed to put him off. He took me to the used CPO case & showed me the watch. Of course, I am in love with the watch, but not the CPO price, right? So I asked what it would take to get a new GMT II. Once again, he told me to fill out the form. I am absolutely not a confrontation person, but I asked, again, what I would need to do to obtain a new watch. The young man introduced me to a 'watch advocate' and, again, told me to fill out the form. I, again, asked them what the wait time would be and asked them to look me up in their system because I am, indeed, a prior customer. The young man stared into my soul and said, "Let me get real serious with you right now: If I get this watch tomorrow, I'm not thinking about you!" It was now clear to me that he had zero desire to sell me a watch, and considering the price tag on Rolex watches, I expect to NOT be treated as if I'm bothering the salespeople. I did not let him finish his rude dissertation and told him I would take my business elsewhere, and I would not EVER think about him and/or Tourneau again. As luck would have it, I contacted an AD closer to home on Tuesday, and to my surprise, they just received a BRAND NEW GMT II Steel & Rose Gold! Unfortunately for Tourneau and the rude salesperson, I was ready to spend money on a used 2018, but fortunately for me I was able to pay retail on a brand new 2024! Of course, I am proudly wearing it as I type this review! It is a long story, but you needed to hear the details. I acknowledge Rolex now owns this chain & they will still get my money in the end. I also acknowledge this story seems far-fetched, considering how hard these watches are to find, but believe me when I say there is no one more surprised/excited than I! Do better Tourneau. Never judge a book by it's cover. You lost a life long customer this week.

After numerous discussions with my endlessly charming purchasing agent, I feel I've arrived at my current conclusions for the DMV during the pandemic. Tourneau at Pentagon tends to offer the best luxury retail experience that can be achieved with timepieces. You'll get similar sensations of Swiss retail in the Omega boutiques around the area, but Tourneau carries Omega, as well IWC, Panerai, Oris, Rolex, Tudor, Longines, Breitling, Cartier, and various accessory straps in the common lug dimensions. Certainly a time-saver if you're constantly busy on the go. Walking through those doors really is like a portal through the Alps. Another Tourneau he visited in the Bay Area felt the same way - Tenderloin by SFO - although that was well before the pandemic. If you feel intimidated by the ambience, fret not - just don a comfy turtleneck and imagine cozying up beside a snapping fireplace at a ski resort. It can be that sort of atmosphere if you want it to be. Come for the watches, stay for the statement pieces (plus witty banter), and leave with a unique amalgamation of 'Swiss Made' magic fitted precisely for your preferred wrist. My agent has worked with likely most of the staff at that location - John DeMetro, Jason Konig, Hanna, Tiffany Ha, Kevin Chen, Monika Nolan, and John Sejas. He was even politely introduced to the store director, Robin O'Neill. Each their own exquisite sales professional. Tourneau Pentagon is pleasantly devoid of the toxic snobbery you may come to despise from consistent window shopping at random boutiques and airports across the globe. They offered guidance through my own styling and statement processes while providing friendly white-glove treatment at each step for my agent. And the pre-owned selection cannot go unmentioned. It's as good as we've seen within the IAD/DCA/BWI region. Also, it's impressive to hear about such respectful efficiency in the era of such a withering pandemic. I'm pleased they're enforcing all the common-sense precautions - they care about their customers whilst bearing a competitive expression of retail craftsmanship. Very pleased with the extra distance they offered to perfect my most recent Tudor acquisitions. I will be a Tourneau customer long-haul in the Americas. Open more shops, get more retail real estate. I cannot withstand Manhattan.

The young man stared into my soul and said, "Let me get real serious with you right now: If I get this watch tomorrow, I'm not thinking about you!"

It was now clear to me that he had zero desire to sell me a watch, and considering the price tag on Rolex watches, I expect to NOT be treated as if I'm bothering the salespeople.

You lost a life long...
