When I called I was told the female haircuts are $25, when I arrived she said $40. Then, she wanted to cut my hair without washing it, which is bonkers my hair is wavy. After she washed my hair, she then proceed to try to dry my hair with two blowers at the same time. She started yanking and pulling my hair, trying to brush it out and definitely not being gentle or trying to take care of my hair. I do NOT have Asian hair, but nor do I have textured hair. My hair is wavy and bleached. She finally got the memo that she needed to put oil it my hair to try to brush it out, but she was just focused on trying to finish as soon as possible that she kept ripping my hair and brush was full of hair that she had ripped off. It got to the point that, I asked her to stop and then started brushing out my own hair. Moreover, I asked her to give me the exact hair cut I already had to freshness my haircut, she proceeded to stay that my layers and bangs were no go, and that she would “fix it.” She feathered/fringed the front of my hair, when I did not ask her to do so. My hair came out uneven, even after requesting twice for her to even out the front. Plus, I asked her to cut off one inch and she cut of two inches. I have no idea how the other reviews are so positive, even the guy before me asked her to correct his haircut a few times. I had a horrible experience and do not recommend this hair...

I'm a guy in my mid-twenties that's been living in River Place for almost a full year and always passed by this barber shop. After reading all the amazing reviews, I thought I'd try it out for the first time today. I truly wish I didn't. The barber didn't follow any of the direction I gave in the beginning about how I wanted a low taper on the sides and an inch off my bangs. The next thing I know she's chopped 3 maybe 4 inches off the top and then proceeds to layer and texture what hair's left paper thin. I had been working on growing out my hair on the top over the last 6 months. $20 down the drain but what hurts is having hardly any hair on my head. Yeah hair grows back, but six months of progress and feeling good...

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!! Prices posted on wall are not what you end up paying. Very misleading to any customer. My mom and I did a wash and blow dry for $45 EACH! This $90 SLOW service was horrible, for example, my mothers hair was ripped out of her scalp. Upon questioning the prices and the discrepancy between the posted prices and the price we were charged, the hair dresser was unable to explain the charges. She kept demanding $90 with no explanation as to why the prices differ from the posting, but especially why my short hair and my mom’s long hair “cost” the same. Go somewhere else that is more professional and can actually offer you a service that is worth paying for - at a reasonable price. Never...
