There is nothing like this in Asheville for adults or kids. It's a semi professional organization. I'm so grateful they have created something with such high caliber. My daughter has been with them since the first show (Matilda) years ago and it just keeps getting better. It takes a lot of dedicated kids, parents and adults to make these shows happen on the scale they create. My daughter has always had a choice to try other companies but she always chooses to stick to AJT. While it is hard and grueling work at times, in the end what we produce is worth that sweat and commitment. Thank you Kelly for all you do on and off the stage. When kids and families have needed you most, you have shown up for them. I've seen moments where kids are feeling some understandable opening night jitters and Kelly always takes the time to sit with that child and give them a wonderful pep talk and help them see what she knows they are capable of. Erin and Melena are incredible prized parts of the team that makes this group even that much more amazing!

Read moreAJT ain't messin' around. Whether your child is participating in the production or you are going to attend a show, prepare to have your expectations exceeded by orders of magnitude. They take it all very seriously--acting, singing, choreography, set design, costumes, etc. I've met so many amazing people through AJT, and after just one production I felt part of a huge family. Children are capable of so much more than most of us realize, and AJT puts them in touch with their potential and power. AJT sort of belongs in Manhattan--in a good way. ...
