100% satisfied, all the way around, from my initial visit to the store, through the delivery process.
I visited the store in order to buy a sectional and recliner. I was greeted very soon after I entered by sales rep Joey Corcoran, and I've never had a better sales experience. He was welcoming, but not in a way that made me feel smothered. The store is MASSIVE, so he helped me a lot by pointing out options that met the description I gave him (furniture needed to be firm, as opposed to the kind that you sink in to, cloth as opposed to leather, and compact enough that it comfortably fit mine and my husband's smaller frame size). I really hate shopping, so the less time I spend at it, the better!
As I looked around and tried out differing options, he gave me time and space to think so I didn't feel rushed.
Once I'd made my selections (which I opted to do over two different visits ... to double check measurements in my living room), he clearly went over the contract and delivery charges. The delivery charge struck me as a bit high, but I haven't bought new furniture in over 10 years, and we live almost an hour's drive from the store, so maybe this is what charges run these days. Plus, once the delivery was completed, I had absolutely zero complaints. Normally deliveries run HOURS late where I live (way out in the middle of nowhere). I received a two hour delivery window, and they actually arrived about 30 minutes EARLY! And texted with an ETA 20 minutes before arriving.
And the delivery included unboxing everything, discarding all the packaging materials (HUGE benefit!), and setting up the furniture right where I wanted. The two delivery folks also patiently worked with me as I told them "About 6 inches to the right". "Now back a bit" etc!!
I've been using the new furniture now for 2 weeks ... no problems have arisen, and I'm enjoying it as much as when I first sat in it at the store.
All in all, I will definitely return to Carolina Furniture Concepts the next time I need...
Read moreI purchased a $3500 sofa in October '24. Prior to its delivery, I returned to the store and purchased 5 more items for an additional $3800. 4 of the items were on the showroom floor and one that was ordered, but nothing special about the order. On No. Vember twenty first all of the items excepthe ordered item was delivered to my home. After arranging the sofa, the only way it will go in my living room.I realized the additional piece of furniture that was ordered would not fit anywhere. I reached out to a sales person and was told it was too late to stop the order because it was already in transit to the store. I was told by the sales person. They would talk to a manager who may be able to give me store credit, but I never received a return call. 2 weeks later, I called back to the store and spoke with another sales associate claiming to be a manager. I explained the situation about lack of space since the new sofa I purchased from them took up muck more room than I had thought. Also, acknowledging store policy of no refunds , no exchanges but requesting store credit for anything else. I was told it had to be taken to the owner. The employee i spoke with said the Owen was having a good day and maybe he would be open to negotiating something and he would call me back by 6pm. Approx 1.5 later I received a voicemail from someone else stating there was nothing they could do for me, again restating their policy and telling me to make arrangements to pick up my piece of furniture. Needless to say, I will get my $499 (least expensive piece I purchased from them) and be on my way and let everyone I know who is looking for new furniture not to purchase from the company because they are absolutely not engaged with customer service or satisfaction. Not to mention the Flexsteel tallboy I purchased has multiple construction flaws that I imagine if I brought to their attention they'd blow me off with...
Read moreI am so grateful we went here and didn't purchase through Ashley.
My wife and I don't like Ashley at all. We bought a sectional from them that didn't even last three years. It was cheaply made and had no cushion to it. They had lied several times about various things, so we were happy to throw the couch out and go shopping again.
Unfortunately, we ended up in Ashley for some reason, and my wife fell in love with a couch set. It was a much better quality than the first, but I was still hesitant with the store. We approached a salesman to discuss our concerns. We were met with disdain and the salesman ended up walking away without helping us. I cannot fathom what we did to offend him, but he told us he would not assist with discounts, had no warranty information, and he had other people to help.
We went to Carolina Furniture Concepts, where we were immediately greeted upon walking in - something that didn't happen at Ashley - and we were invited to style a couch any way we saw fit. I explained the type of couch we were looking for, and the manager helped us look up the collection we liked at Ashley.
After a couple of hours designing couches, we found that we were not a fan of the materials being used. Instead of disparaging, the salesman asked about our concerns with the Ashley collection. When we went over them, and she not only took the time to explain how the couch would be different, but she said she might be able to help us get it.
The original collection at Ashley would have cost us $3,700 for three pieces and no warranty. Carolina Furniture Concepts was able to get us the same collection, a warranty, and an additional piece in the set for $3,200 after taxes. We not only received the collection we wanted, but we got it cheaper and feel more confident in our purchase than we ever have.
Huge shout out to Lily and Randeep for being incredibly patient and helping get the...
