I love Aldi's. They have great quality products at a fair price. They make eating healthfully more affordable. They have enticing deals on the special products aisle. Their ingredients tend to be more natural and healthy. For example, the fruit cups are sweetened with fruit juice rather than added sugar. Most products lean toward whole ingredients and lean away from mysterious additives and preservatives. Part of reducing prices is offering generic yet quality choices that have been carefully selected to be most appealing and high quality. They simplify stocking methods and food displays to save on labor costs. They incentivize cart return to save labor costs on cart wrangling. Yet despite their fair prices, they were a leader in fair wages. They further save by having fewer employees fill more purposes. They are worth the adjustment to differences in getting a cart and checkout, limeted hours, etc. After I tried Aldi's years ago, I was hooked. Some items I recommend are their tasty special and regular cheeses, the frozen ground beef, the produce and salads, the cereals, and the fair yet quality breads. I love the kombucha, the granola bars, and the breakfast and dairy items. The freezer deals and frozen pizzas are worth a try. They have nice basic staples such as parmesan cous cous and pasta blends. And they have the twice as nice guarantee. There are just so many things to love at Aldi's, and they make life...
Read morePoor compliance with Buncombe County health codes during the Pandemic. Mask wearing spotty and not enforced. Forget social distancing for sure. People will climb over your back to get to a box of oatmeal like it's going to grow legs or something and run out of the store before they can wrangle it into their cart. Haven't been impressed by any of the Aldis in this region for the same reason. Early on, they were taking precautions but as the Pandemic reaches new heights, these stores just seem to be totally uncaring whether their customers or employees get sick and suffer. It's a short-sighted business model for sure, but it's their business to run into the ground if they so choose. I'll avoid this location in the future unless...
Read moreWe have shopped here for about a year with no problems until today. Our cashier WILLIAM got frustrated and irate about me and my fiancee having to use a house key to get a buggy in a pinch(we did not have change and didn't have time to turn around and go home or they would've been closed). William got mad and started calling us rude for using a key, then proceeded to get up and bump my fiancee with the buggy to get her to move. Once she moved out of the way he proceeded to throw our groceries out of the buggy. Whem I asked what his issue is he would just say my total for the groceries. Unbelievable that he want fired on the spot considering the whole line and assistant manager that witnessed...
