Update: Since Google doesnāt allow you to do secondary reviews, I would like to take the time to set the record straight. There is a comment on here by Miss Sullivan, and it seems the facts are being twisted to fit her motherās temper tantrum. I just so happened to be there when this conversation took place and the manager was nothing but courteous way past the point any human should have to. Miss Sullivanās mother did not only, in fact, talk down to the manager, but she also talked badly about the employee at the other store until she realized the conversation wasnāt going her way. The mother also tried to return another item, amongst a grouping of them, that had the package ripped to shreds. Anyone who has ever been around retail cannot be surprised as to why that couldnāt be returned. As to the portion of the mother themselves being talked down to, the manager was heard by several people in the store apologizing for the inconvenience in her being told the incorrect information. Thereafter, this poor boy took the time to validate this woman and she wouldnāt have it. This here is a prime example of entitlement gone wrong. Iāve been on this earth a long time, have been a gamer all my life, and have been a customer of GameStop since itās inception. What the group of workers at this store deal with, from what Iāve seen, is unlike anything Iāve ever witnessed. These boys are rock stars. People need to start acting their age.
This is an amazing store with an incredible staff! Friendly, knowledgeable, and very informative. The easygoing environment is among so many of the main reasons why I keep coming back! A huge reason why Iām leaving my two cents is because Iāve seen the entitled small minded people whom this staff has to deal with at times and itās beyond me. I certainly couldnāt do what they do day in and day out, and itās amazing to me that the staff members still find it inside to show up for work with consistent smiles and warmth towards the community. Also, they greet people by first names, FIRST NAMES!!! Where else can you find that these days? If only my pop pop were around to see that lol! Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went into this store to return a preowned Playstation portal that I had bought at the waynesville location because the employee there said that my mom could play the device on her profile while I could play on my account on the main console, this ended up not being the case and it didn't work quite the way we wanted it to so since we bought it preowned we could still return it. I'm in no way upset that they waynesville employee was incorrect because everyone is human the manager at this store however was very rude when we were explaining this to him after he asked why we were looking to return the item. He told my mother that"common sense should have told her we couldn't use two devices at the same time but it's not our fault that she didn't know any better" he kept rambling on and on and at this point we just wanted to take our device (since he hadn't competed the return nor even started the return) and he refused to give us the device we still owned back. My mother asked him a numerous amount of times just for her device back, she was practically begging him for her own property back. Eventually he did give it back and when handing back the receipt he was saying how he deserved an apology for how rude my mother was and that he didn't need this today and told us not to come back. My mother never raised her voice, never spoke down on him or anything. I am VERY disappointed in the service we received and had he not been so rude and condescending he would have actually made a sale since we took our business back to Waynesville and was able to return it with no issues even though their systems were having issues the staff at that store was so sweet and patient that we ended up purchasing the Nintendo Switch 2 instead and not only did we buy that, we had left and came back and bought ANOTHER nintendo switch 2. I was in the store with my son and DK had just finished checking a customer out and was going to the back to get a box of pokemon cards for my son. When DK got back the customer was still there and he asked for his original receipt. DK very professionaly let this man know that the original receipts don't get returned in the scenario of the transaction that was completed and that he had already disposed of the receipt. The customer had a new receipt in his hand indicating the purchase he made. He immediately began cussing DK and raised his voice to nearly yelling. For such a little fella he sure didn't seem to realize it. DK remained professional the entire time this little guy cussed him in front of the entire store which included my child and the little guys kid! Completely inappropriate behavior by this customer who stormed out threatening to file a complaint. I suppose the complaint was going to be about him not paying any attention whatsoever to the things DK clearly explained prior to agreeing to the sale/return....so I'm writing this to say if a little angry guy gets on Google to complain just be thankful you didn't actually have to hear his voice and disregard as the nonsense it is. DK is gold at this store and always is through my own purchases and the very many I've seen him complete with others even when they are getting news from him they dont like.
