We first found K2 about 4 years ago and instantly fell in love with the selection and the staff. The furniture is of such high quality and the staff are warm and very knowledgable. We have bought several pieces over the years and have always been so satisfied with the products and the service. We especially appreciate the focus on supporting North Carolina manufacturers and artists. Having been so pleased with them over the years, we recently asked the to help us furnish a new home that we just built. For months they worked with us, never pushing us to select anything we weren't completely satisfied with, always helping us to find what we liked best. When the house was ready, they even traveled to help us get everything set up! The final result is beyond what we ever could have hoped for. Leave your kids outside!!! I guess this is what the staff expects. They had beautiful furniture and was one of the most unique furniture stores I've seen but we were scolded not once but twice by the employee working there. The first time my 3 year old trotted about 7 steps, a distance between my husband and I, and the lady rudely said, "there's no running in the store". After which, she must have been watching us like a hawk, my 11 year old (who is one of the most well behaved children you'll ever meet) touched a large wire sculpture and the lady squawked "don't touch that!" I quickly responded that we would leave. I've never been treated so badly in any establishment EVER. I absolutely LOVE the table I purchased through K2 Studio. Finding the perfect dinning room table to fit in a cabin from the 1800's was no easy task. But after carefully listening to my ideas, Kim, the owner of K2 Design and her staff showed me a table in their showroom that could be customized to the dimensions I needed. It would not only accommodate our ever-expanding family (which now includes 11 grandkids!) but it also has the exact elements of "rustic elegance" that we were going for. David, who designed, built and delivered the table even put a plaque underneath with all our grandchildren's names engraved on it.
