Beautiful Beautiful store. They have lots of beads and seed beads ranging from vintage to Czech glass to plastics to bone. And shapes and buttons also. They have a place for to create the bracelet and baskets that you shop for the beads with and you write it down. The setting is very romanticizing customaries and I was looking for places all over Texas,Tennessee and North Carolina for stores such as this one and happen to find it during my visit during 24. I make/weave scorpions, deer cat paws and more on bracelets and have made my own patterns for koalas too. I wanted to start a line that was based on Europe and Religious architecture and I used to order my beads all the time. But you have to wait and it doesn't feel as romantic when you can't see the beads in person to compare and put together.
It's nice to see the beads you want and compare with others that would be great also, draw up plans and come back when you've made a decision. This one is on my store for museum purposes and I do sell them and have made good from them.
Thanks to the stores customary aspect I was able to compare to get the best results....
Read moreAbsolutely loved this shop!!! We were visiting from England for a wedding in Asheville & I saw an advert for a bead shop in town. I wasn’t expecting such a HUGE store filled with all sorts of goodies… I was in heaven! We have nothing like this where I live, so everything I purchase has to be online, which isn’t quite as pleasurable. This shop has lots of unusual beads to suit all pockets & soooo many beautiful colours. My husband dropped me off & went to look round some other shops. He returned before I was finished, but not a problem as he sat on a comfy sofa, watching the fish & other creatures in the most beautiful fish tank. There was music playing, staff were on hand if you needed help with anything, but no one bugged you. It was nice just to spend time choosing my purchases without being hassled. The lady who served us was friendly & chatty & it was just a really enjoyable experience & I am now back home in the UK, oohing & cooing over my purchases. I’m sure we’ll be back when we’re next...
Read moreWe came from an hour away to Christmas shop here. We made it fifteen minutes before closing, which I realize is cutting it close, but it was not closing time yet. We rushed to get here, to buy a cat clock that I knew they sold. It’s on the shelf, almost right as you go in. The very second we opened the door, an older woman rushed to us and said ‘We’re actually closing, right now’ and made us leave. When we hit the sidewalk, they locked the door. As a business owner myself, this IS NOT the way customers should be treated. We have bought here frequently, mostly the paper lanterns, which are on the expensive side, and we could have ordered for much cheaper, they are half cost online, but we wanted to support a local business. We will not return, and I will not be recommending this shop to anyone else. This experience was awful and the woman who wouldn’t even let us in the building was...
