This past Monday, January 19, 2021 my fiancĂ© and I visited the Menâs Wearhouse Location in Asheville, North Carolina. We had previously visited a different location in Rockhill, SC where the services provided and the associates were phenomenal. At the Rock Hill location, I was measured and we chose the suit and accessories that I needed as well as my groomsmen. When we arrived at the Asheville location, we were greeted by an older gentleman by the name of James. He seemed to lack the knowledge on how the system worked when it came to pulling up our group code and identifying the correct measurements/suit pieces/color. At the Rock Hill location, we were given a special price that included all the necessary pieces of the suit for myself and my groomsmen. Once we finally found all the pieces that we needed at the Asheville location, we went to check out at the register. James seemed confused again so he called over a female associate which I assume was the manager of the store. She rang us up and we payed $250 for the whole order. James had mentioned to her that âspecial pricingâ was included in the notes of our profile (from the Rockhill location) and the female ignored him and proceeded to say there was âno better priceâ than what she was giving us. After purchasing the suit, I decided to call and confirm the original agreed upon price with the associates in Rockhill. I spoke with Emma at the Rockhill location and she assured me that I should speak with the manager at the Asheville location so they would honor the price. After speaking with her, my fiancĂ© and I went back to the Asheville location and talked to the same female associate who had checked us out. I explained the situation to her to which she replied that I double check with the other location. I assured her that I had already called the location and so she took it upon herself to call the other location while at the register with us. She called that location and gave her store number and asked for clarification. After a short duration, the female associate told the other on the phone that it was a simple yes or no question. She then remarked that she âdidnât have time for herâ because she had customers who had been on the floor for an hour and a half. Her tone was very rude and unprofessional with the employee in Rockhill. After about 30 seconds or so, she said she didnât âhave time for attitudeâ and hung up on the associate in Rockhill. After hanging up, she turned to my fiancĂ© and I and said, âDo what you want.â After seeing the way she interacted with the other associate and due to our dissatisfaction with the whole experience, we returned the suit and other accessories. I immediately called the Rockhill location to apologize for her actions and I went back to that location today. I was able to find everything I needed and the employees at the Rockhill location were very helpful and compassionate. The manager at the Rockhill location was very apologetic and did all she could to make sure we were cared for and that our experience was much better than the one in Asheville. I was very dissatisfied with my experience at the Asheville location. I will not be returning to this location and will never recommend them. Do yourself a favor and drive the two hours to the Rockhill, SC location where you will be treated as a...
Read moreABSOLUTELY an exhausting experience for day 1. Our first moment bringing my fiancee in to get outfitted for our special wedding day and we were greeted but the most rude sales person, he was cold, uninviting interrupting and un-supportive. He practically rushed my fiancee to quickly make his choices and GET OUT. Thankfully the other gentlemen was able to balance it out with kindness and being sweet to our son or we would have WALKED OUT, the energy of the other salesperson ruined the experience for all of us. I encouraged my fiancee to go back and try again. He was able to get the manager to help him and we managed to get what we needed and then I thought "Good its over now!"... But no, when my fiancee went to get his suit 3 days before our wedding after making multiple phone calls to ensure everything was correct, his jacket was too small!!!! While they quickly corrected the issue THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED PERIOD!! We were not even offered a partial refund for the issue. We also get the groomsmen outfits and one of our best men the DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING had the wrong color vest...The orders were not checked, both prior to pickup nor after. This particular location is is stark contrast to their sister store David's Bridal which i have visited several different location, they treat their clients with respect and support. Lucky for this store they have a monopoly on reasonable prices suits rentals, for Asheville but this is NOT how men should be treated when shopping for their special occasion, they should be just as pampered as women! I hope they put their staff and customer service in check STAT. Since then multiple other ladies I know have come forward and have told me of messed up orders, loosing measurements, ordering the wrong size and having an overall awful...
Read moreI went to the local Men's Wearhouse in Asheville, North Carolina to rent a suit for my son's wedding. I was measured for the suit and tol I would receive an email telling me when to pick up my suit before the wedding. I was also told that I "might want to try on the suit" when I picked it up in case there were any "small issues." Unfortunately, I had to be out of town until the day of the wedding and I had my younger son pick up the suit for me. When I put the suit on for the wedding, everything fit great but the jacket; the arms were both two inches short. I had no choice but to wear the ridiculous jacket for the wedding pictures (after telling the photographer the situation and arranging to stand behind someone in all the photos) and then take the jacket off for the rest of the ceremony. When I took the suit back today, I asked to speak with the manager who told me that "they couldn't help me because I didn't pick the suit up myself and try it on in the store." I didn't ask for or want a refund and one wasn't offered. The moral of the story is this: instead of saying you "should" try on the tailored suit when it's picked up, they should say you HAVE to try on the suit when you pick it up, because they're not going to get it right the first time. My issue with the company isn't about money, I would have paid twice what they charged for a suit that actually fit. My issue is with the abysmal customer service and complete lack of competence and professionalism. I won't be going back to Men's Wearhouse and I can't and won't recommend the company to anyone who cares about their appearance. I definitely did not "love the way I looked," and their guarantee...
