Here is my Kay’s story: My daughter and I went into Kay’s one afternoon to get my wedding ring replaced. Unfortunately, due to my fingers swelling one day, I had to have my wedding ring cut off that I had worn for 12 years. It broke my heart when I had to have my wedding band cut off as a last resort to keep the circulation from being cut off to my finger. I had full intentions of needing to buy a new wedding band that day when I walked into Kay’s. The staff was very patient with us and very helpful. They asked me if I had bought the warranty with my ring and I explained that I wasn’t sure if I did or not. And if I did buy it, it would have been bought almost 13 years ago and bought in a different state. After some deep research through their computer, they were able to find my purchase and that I did indeed buy the warranty with my ring. They resized my finger, and I gave them my wedding ring that was cut completely through. And they sent it off to have it fixed and resized. It took about 2 weeks to get it back. And when I tried it on, it fit perfectly and looked as good as it did the day my wife gave it to me at our wedding, just now it was a little bigger lol. I couldn’t have been happier with this experience! And the best part… it didn’t cost me a penny since I had bought the warranty 13 years ago!
Since we were already in the store and I was excited about getting my wedding ring fixed for free, I decided to let my daughter pick out at necklace and earring set as a back-to-school gift since it’s her last year of elementary school. The staff showed us everything we asked to see, even some of the pieces that was a little out of our budget. But they made us feel very comfortable with the whole shopping experience and we never felt pressured to buy anything in particular. My daughter fell in love with a necklace and asked to see the matching earrings. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the earrings in stock that matched the necklace, so they ordered them for her at no extra cost. The earrings arrived at the store faster than what we expected. My daughter made sure to wear her necklace back to the store when we picked up the earrings. I wish I could describe the huge smile on her face when my daughter put in the earrings and looked at them with the necklace for the first time in the mirror at the store. She was beyond excited! And she looked absolutely beautiful with them on! Needless to say, she wore the matching set out the door and for the rest of the day. Since I got such great service with my ring and my daughter’s necklace and earring set, I brought my wife in about a week later and bought her a necklace and earring set as well. Read moreLast year I went here to get a gemstone replaced in a ring, they couldn't give me a price in the store so they sent it off and had my ring for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, I had to contact them to see wharf was going on and thats when they told me they replacement stone would be $250, which was more than i paid for the ring and it has several of the same tanzanite gemstones in it of the same size along with diamonds. So I just went and picked my ring up without having it fixed. Jump forward to a couple weeks ago, my husband and I went in to have ny ring cleaned that he bought through kays. There were only 2 other people in the store, when we walked in the sales associate got snappy and told us we would have to wait a minute. We wondered around the store for 45 minutes while the other associate helped the other customers, and the other associate just fiddled around at the back desk. Needless to say, we never got helped.
