Edit because what I said still stands despite the response. Tell people up front that the price is not final. This is no way to do business. My husband and I are not denying that our dog is hyper. But he has been to other groomers and we have never seen an upcharge for this. We have never paid more than $95 for a grooming. My dog is strong and hyper. But this is your job and I imagine he isn't the only dog to not sit still for a haircut. Bottom line is that I asked for a price so I could weigh options in the area. Had I been told it would or could be this much, I'd have respected it and moved on. It's the potential for additional cost being left out that makes this shady. I mean, I could have bought a grooming table and done this myself for the price I was charged. The quote was $85. No reason for me to lie about $5 when I was already charged so much extra. We left a $15 tip BEFORE knowing that extra money was tacked on willy nilly so that was our mistake. If you give a price, stick to it, or warn customers that it COULD be more if their dog doesn't sit still or is strong. I've seen 3 other reviews across social media and google about the upcharges. I'd be letting people know that prices aren't final. I am thankful we had the extra financial room to pay the additional cost and our other bills with 2 children. This was irresponsible and inconsiderate. Please be honest with people ahead of payment time Completely blindsided by the price. I was told $85 on the phone and when my dog was picked up it was $145 because he howled and was strong?? Absolutely crazy. DO NOT GO HERE. Nobody can afford to be scammed out of extra money in this economy. They LIED and told us the extra charge was partially due to the groomer staying over which she told us upfront it would be about 2 hours and she called right on time, so that made no sense, and was obviously an excuse. The girl on the phone was so nervous because she had no real reason for the service being so outrageous. There was no legitimate breakdown of the extra cost. I asked why it was that much and this was the reason I was given. Basically, he was strong (not aggressive, they even said this), so I guess the groomer just chose to charge us however much they wanted to despite telling us a certain price already. People ask for prices so they know if they can afford the service, not so they can be lied to and scammed out of more money later on. Wow! I came in and found exactly what I was looking for. The employees were knowledgeable and used the very item, Calming chews, that I came for and were able to provide me with useful anecdotal information. There was a golden egg hunt, which my kids would’ve loved! I found an egg and received a box of biodegradable poop bags as my prize. So useful!! Plus, I got a little gift bag for Easter that contained wet and dry dog food samples, plus lamb flavored water enhancer. All that made the trip really fun. The part that added legitimacy to my whole experience was when I asked about a little ring to connect my dog’s tags to her collar. The owner did not try to sell me something else. He shared that he uses a key ring. I totally appreciate NOT just trying to be sold something, but sharing experiences instead. That was my second time at the store. I plan to be back.

We have visited the store from time to time and always been pleased. We have gotten to know and trust the staff. It was recommended we try goats milk for the girls. While both are rescues, one had an extremely rough start in life. She is older and her skin/hair loss/itching have always plagued us. So we thought sure, why not, they eat fresh so let’s give the goats milk a try. WOW, in less than a week their breath improved, no issues with licking/digging and their coats are healthy and shinny! We are into flea season and not a single bite or flea. Their appetites has approved and their improved energy level has made the older one the dance around like a new pup again.
