The ADios Café was my top restaurant/café experience in Atlanta. The food, service, and atmosphere all made that possible.
My order: Southwest Omelette: What really sealed the deal for me to order this omelet was the diverse list of veggies and cheese in it (onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, corn, black beans, Mexican cheese, sour cream, and pan de queso). This combination of flavors was amazing and I loved it. The icing on the cake for me was saving the sour cream and pan de queso for last (the perfect combination). The pan de queso was so fresh, fluffy, and cheesy. If I could order a tray of those, I would. Fruit Bowl: I was anticipating a bowl, but instead I received a large plate! The Mexican cream the fruit is served with made for a tasty and light dip. Mayan Mocha: Although I love chocolate, I generally stay away from it in terms of ordering it in my coffee drinks. However, I ordered the Mayan Mocha because of its added spice in the form of chile de arbol. Prior to visiting ADios Café, I have not had a spicy coffee, and it was time for me to open that door. It was a good choice and it is something that I would order again. Next time I would ask for less mocha flavoring. The mocha used here was extremely rich. Personally, I do not prefer my coffee drinks to be overly sweet.
Service: The service here was fantastic. I made it in two minutes before 2:00pm. The waitress told me that breakfast menu ends at 2:00pm, but she would be able to still take my order off that menu. I was pretty happy with that because then it led to me trying one of the best omelettes I have had at a restaurant. The waitress had a high sense of urgency in terms of speed of service. She was on point.
ADios Café is definitely a place I would recommend to others. If I had more time in Atlanta, I would gladly...
Read moreLiterally the worst dining experience I've ever had. Online pictures looked great and the reviews seemed decent so it was an attractive pick. The coffee and drinks came out and were delicious. Our server was great, but when the mains came out my plate looked rather soupy, but it was a plate of eggs, beans, avocado, and hash browns so I was hopeful mixing the eggs up would thicken and make the dish a little more cohesive. After eating one soupy egg I called for the manager, "Stephanie", who said I should have complained before even eating any of it [how does that work?] and after eating a single egg from the plate told me my meal couldn't be comped, but only made half off. She then proceeded to argue with me about how much of my food I ate and call me a liar. This is ridiculous because I didn't remotely finish or enjoy the plate of food. When I told her this, she kept going into the back and hiding [I guess trying to get us to give up and just pay?] which eventually we did pay, but only because she began threatening to call the police on us. Accidents happen in this industry; both I and the other guest have worked in the food and beverage industry for over 5 years and this type of business practice is basically extortion. Stephanie is an unprofessional, rude person who feigns professionalism and forces guests into paying for poor quality food at $10 a plate. I will never return to any of this company's businesses and would STRONGLY ADVISE against anyone else considering giving their business to this company and their borderline-criminal practices. I've never submitted a review, but the experience was bad enough to warrant...
Read moreMy husband and I were here doing our homework today. We are college students and we come here sometimes to do work and have never had a problem in the past doing so. Today, we were met with very unwelcoming customer service. After discussing with a worker that she would “handle us” (loud enough so we could hear), the manager Kelly Bennet randomly asks us if we need a menu. My husband lets her know that we were ok and that we are planning to order after we do some work. She replies “oh ok, well we usually don’t allow outside drinks nor seating unless for dine in.” We took that as ok well we won’t drink our outside drink and it is fine for us to be here since we are going to order. She doesn’t say anything else. After some time passed, she comes over and asks if we want to get started with something to drink. My husband replies water. Some more time passes, and she randomly brings menus to our table without us asking her to. Some more time passes, and then she comes back and asks us what we were going to order. At this time, my husband informs her that it seems as though she is being passive aggressive and tries to explain that we were going to order after we got some work done. She interrupts him and rudely tells us we have to order something or leave. This was a completely unnecessary way to handle this situation and we will most likely not be...
