I don't know what the issue with this SHOP is, but from reading the other reviews, everyone's experience seems to have been similar to mine... Maybe they feel like because their salon has been featured on Love & Hip Hop (which I did not know until the stylish told me), they can do this ridiculous mess. I came there to get my hair done and my appointment was at 4pm, and she did not start working on my hair for hours, as a matter of fact, I did not get out of the salon until 12:30am. During the down time, the stylist tried to tell me personal things about shop owner and her personal life which made me uncomfortable and I had to change the subject.
The professionalism of this place is at it's all time low. After a few moments of being there, a fight broke out between the gay male receptionist and his boyfriend out front of the salon. From my experience, this is an extremely ghetto and ratchet salon. They quoted me one price over the phone and it was not until she was DONE with my hair that she increased the price by $100.00, which was a total of $250.00 and she quoted $150.00. For being there for so long, I should have gotten a decrease instead of an increase. The owner could care less about these reviews because no one seems to care about the quality of these stylist. My sew-in looked like a wig and she refused to style it because she said she did not know how to curl it. The closure came off within 48 hours and I sent the stylist pictures and she told me to come back in. When I came back a day later, she was about 45 minutes late and was extremely rude about me coming back to get it corrected. She told me that her glue was worth $75 and that it was good glue and should not come up. I told her that it obviously came up and I requested that she sew it down and then she responded by telling me that she did not know how to sew down a closure.
I usually came there for my eye lashes and that stylist Elise was amazing, but she left and now I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to help aspiring microblading Artist like myself to not wasting their hard earned money. Everytime i think of this class and how i wasted my money. Makes me really sad and dissapointed. Because i am very serious about a career with microblading. I took the class Nov 2017. I totally regret it. Please take the time and do heavy research. See if there are reviews on these classes. I tried to support the black community and a black business. But doing that led me to great dissapointment. I have unanswered questions, im retracting myself. Im learning from mistakes that i was not taught. Im even about to pay to take a refresher course because im cluless. The class is a joke. The supply kit is off amazon. You dont getting numbing cream. Only 1 pigment. Only 1 microblading pen. A cheap clear box it comes in. Minimum supplies about $20 worth or less. Her assistant teaches 90% of the class. Then she comes in towards the end.. wow smh.. You are not taught color theory. Brow mapping. How to apply the right amount of pressure. No step by step process. A sorry manual that doesnt have no helpful information. There is NO LIVE MODEL DEMONSTRATION. So you never get a feel of a real person. I can go on and on. But its disappointing because you don't know this before you sign up. You dont know what you are signing up for. There arent reviews... You hope it will be the best experience since she is known and on tv and her reputation is on the line. But no. Please do heavy research. I want to help the next person not go through this. If you read the other review she went through the same thing. I truly wish i could get my money back. Truly dissapointed and left with unanswered questions uneducated. I could of went on youtube. A waste of time i would of saved $500 more dollars and went to some real trainers who take their classes and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm going to start off by saying now days hairstylists no longer do hair with a passion. Its all about getting the client in and out the chair so that they can make their buck. More focus goes into Insta clout and gaining celebrity clientele rather than gaining and KEEPING clientele. I went to King K twice, first experience was decent. Customer service was at low, however my hair still came out cute which is why I returned. My second experience is why I will not be returning. I brought in a bundle of hair which was split in half but both halves looked full before being installed. I asked her if the one half wasn't enough to use the other half as well. She installs one half and proceeds to move on. I catch a glimpse in the mirror(which is constantly blocked so you cant see your hair till finished) and can clearly she the ponytail was thin. As a STYLIST I would think you would have the audacity to get me right and not have me looking crazy. Dare not to ask questions because you will get snobby responses. I request beach curls, instead of saying which curls she do she responded " I don't do those." I asked her what curls she do she said "regular curls." Umm ok whatever those are. The list goes on. My ponytail was glued in (last time she sewed it in), why would I want glue on my natural, healthy hair. As well as on my bundles, that I can no longer use. The hairstylists constantly look at each other frowning upon the client that is in the chair because they are "annoyed' by them. I can say the greeter that's at the front desk is usually friendly and so is the shampoo girls(probably because they working hard for their tip). I see why some of them don't have booking sites that allows the client to leave a...
