Bad customer service. Been coming for about 2 years and the light skin lady who use to always be in the front at the mlk store before they changed locations never gave no problems, but now I’m noticing that their clothes really run too small & the owner has a bad attitude when discussing purchases. A less than 1 day old purchase you personally helped size out for me. Won’t let you try on any items in store due to “the policy” at their newest location on Oak St and no refunds offered even if the items aren’t damaged and were never worn out. Don’t even tell you it’s no refund until you trying to bring it back and looking for the receipt ! Then said she knew I couldn’t fit it. Like what ? Don’t want to let you exchange nothing! Items weren’t even intimate clothing. So, if you buy something and you get to exchange it you’ll be lucky. No matter if you just spent almost $100 on it and needed something to wear out the same night you’ll just be out of money or still forced to get something else with a nasty customer service attitude. Read moreI went inside to patronize this business, I was greeted at the door (very rudely) about wearing a mask. I was advise to buy one in the front,I walked toward the front to purchase the cashier said in (aggressive )tone that I had to leave before even purchasing one from her.
The Energy was definitely off. The customer service need to be corrected, so that customer could feel as if his or her are welcome.
Also there is a very bad mildew smell inside the store so I can see why they would recommend mask. The building is very sketchy with horrible parking.

Read moreI went here to buy a dress to wear for my birthday weekend. I had picked up 2 dresses which I wasn't sure of price until I got to the register. The total for both was between$110-$120. That was very pricey for two dresses so I just decided to just get one. I didn't want to just walk out. When I got home to try the dress on it wouldn't even go over my head. I have never seen a dress that couldn't go over your head. This is do disappointing. Trying to support black businesses never seems to work out because people don't care if you come back or not and that's not good customer service.
